College Ring Question

Ok this is probably a really dumb question but I don't know the answer!

I'm graduating in college this December (FINALLY!) And I just ordered my college ring. It's supposed to be in around the first of October. What I am wondering is are you supposed to wear your ring when you get it or are you supposed to wait until after you graduate to wear it? Since all of my friends graduated a couple of years ago I have no idea what they did.

This is what it will look like except it will say Univesity of South Carolina and it won't be antiqued so it will be really shiny to kind of match my wedding rings on the other hand.

I wore my highschool ring when it came in. I would probably wear a college ring when I got it, too, but I didn't get one.

BTW, my DH graduated from USC Upstate, but it was USCS then.

Wow that is really neat. I should have graduated when it was USCS but I took some time off. When I came back they had changed the name of the school, got a new mascot, new buildings, dorms, and everything. I've been there since 1999 so I'm really happy to finally be moving on.

At my school, the tradition is to wear it when you get it, with the seal on top facing in towards you. When you graduate, the ring gets turned around so the seal is facing outward, as a symbol of you taking the knowledge you've gained out into the world.
