Hey,

I have a few questions, if anyone would answer them that will be great.

1. Are there any History majors who interned with Disney College Program?
2. How does the Disney College Program aid students who are history majors?
3. How has the Program aided them in receiving job offers?

Thanks for your help. I'm interested in doing the program, I just need to find out more information about it.

I can't really say that your actual work on the College Program will aid you in specifically in finding a history-related job after you graduate. However, if you last throughout the entire program then you will show your character. I have been on plenty of job interviews who were impressed that I worked for Disney because of their strict customer service. Also, they tend to realize that if you can last through the program without being terminated (either by Disney or by self-terming), then you can put up with anything.

The classes are mostly business related classes. I opted not to take anything because I only had a semester of college left and nothing would count for credit. Plus I was living in Florida and wanted to experience as much as I could.

I'm an interior design major, and I'm not going to be getting any credit or anything for the program. And although I'm personally sure that I'll learn customer service skills, etc. that will help me down the road, I don't know that this will really help me get an interior design job.

You just have to ask yourself if it's something you really want to do. If you want to work for Disney, have the experience, and use it as a great resume booster, then I say go for it. But if you really want an internship that's going to help with your field specifically, then I say consider looking elsewhere.

I really do want to do this program, like you have no idea. lol I just really need to see if I can do the program and still graduate on time lol

Do you guys know anyone who was a history major and used this program?

To be completely honest... majors don't matter. I probably know tons of History majors, but I have no idea what people major in, it never really comes up in conversation. I thinking of my 5 roommates, I only know what 2 of them even majored in.

charmed- you may want to look into taking online courses from your/another college if you're worried about graduating on time. there aren't really any courses that are geared towards history majors, but you'll definitely learn a fair share of the history of wdw. too much of a stretch? :rotfl:

That's what I'm thinking of doing. Do you know if it's possible for me to take like 1 class at Disney and like 4 classes online/independent studies?

Thanks for all your help everyone.

It depends on your college, whether or not they offer the classes you need online.

If they do, you could certainly take as many as your schedule would allow you to. That will be more of a personal thing.

Thanks for all of your help! :)

Is the 12 credits the max u can take?
For example like 2 disney classes and 2 online/independent?
Was it hard to work and take all the classes you needed to take?
