College Program Vs. Professional Internship

This may be a really stupid question, but what is the difference between the two, lets say i am a Resort & Lodging major at my college and i wanted to work in one of the hotels in WDW which program should i focus on??

The professional internship is a real internship.. the CP is not even though they call it that. As a CP you will do frontline jobs such as looading guests onto rides and as a PI you will work more behind the scenes on the business end This is evidenced by the fact that there are 10 - 15 CP jobs for every PI.

I have to repectfully disagree. I CP is a very real internship that is open to anyone in any major. It is as real an internship as the PI. YOu can still attend classes and get college credit etc. The PI is very individualized as it is open to people only in certain mojors and is more intense in that area of expertise. I did both and loved each program I did. Just remember that one is more specific and intensive in one area where the other is not. However both can be just as intense.
