Hi. My name is Gillian and I am starting the Disney college program on June 11th. I would just like some advice from anyone who knows the housing down there. I read on the website what they say they do and don't have in the rooms, but I just wanted to clarify and hear it from someone who has actually been there.

Like the beds, are they just twin beds or are they twin XL beds like in most dorms?
How much furniture is actually in the bedrooms? They don't make mention of any sort of desk in the bedrooms, so is there no desk? just a dresser and nightstand?
Is there any sort of closet of wardrobe type piece in the rooms?

How strict are they about posters in the room? not that I have a lot of poster but I was just curious because after reading through their room information they sound strict about it.

How large are the kitchens? I assume they vary in size depending on how many roommates you have. Do they provide much counter space?
What kind of pots and pans do they provide? I doubt they are non-stick, but I wanted to check.

Do they provide the shower curtain rods in the showers? are they bath tub showers or standing showers?

I greatly appreciate any answers. I know i have a lot of questions.

Thank you :)

The beds are twin. The only desk in the apartment is in the living room area. The only other furniture in the bedrooms are two nightstands and two dressers. Each bedroom has a closet.

You aren't allowed to put stuff on the walls but there are bulletin boards that you can put stuff on, in the bedrooms and the living room. If you have anything attached to the walls, they'll tell you to remove it when inspections occur.

The kitchens aren't very big but there's enough counter space.

I believe there are shower curtain rods in the bathrooms and the showers are bathtubs, not just standing.

Thanks so much for the quick response!

That's really helpful. I have a couple more questions i thought of while I was packing, if you're willing to help me out any more.

Are there cabinets in the bathroom? I have this metal shelving piece that can go over the toilet in the bathroom. Is there space for this in the bathroom? Also is there a cabinet underneath the sink? I have plastic drawers I've used the past couple of years to hold my toiletries and such and wasn't sure if there was a cabinet provided or if i should bring this.

Also are we allowed to put our bed on risers? I have risers and I have always put my bed up high to use for more storage. I just want to make sure that is allowed in their housing. I didn't read anything that said otherwise.

Thank you!! :)

Hey I'm a campus rep now so I can answer any and all questions :)

the only "cabinet" space in the bathrooms is under the sink. some bathrooms also have a towel closet, mine actually had a huge walk-in closet so that was the closet for our bathroom and bedroom. There's also a medicine-chest type of mirror on the side wall next to the sink that can hold a few things.

And yes you can have bed risers, lots of ppl had those to have more storage space under their beds.

your answer is 100% accurate. This is because you did the program and can speak from your personal experience. Not because you are a campus rep.

campus reps are to help promote dates, times, and locations of their campus presentation. that is the extent of specialized info that a campus rep can provide. campus reps are not a replacement for the official website, blog, or contacting Disney directly.

and to become a campus rep one must complete the CP. No need to get your panties in a bunch, just answering someone's question. Carry on about your day.

The bathrooms also have a medicine cabinet. It's not very deep, so you can't put a ton of stuff in there, but it is a little extra storage for you.
