College Program attendee

This is the Tiki Fan's daughter and I was wondering if any one's child knew what job they were doing. As my mother already said, I'm going to be a lifeguard and I was wondering if any one else was going to be near me. I'd like to go knowing SOMEONE else there. I wouldn't be quite as nervous about it then I wish all of your children luck at the college program and hopefully I'll meet them there!

I'm am not a part of the college program, but last time I went to Disney World with my friends in December, there were a lot of nice people that were a part of the college program. I am the type of person that will start a conversation with anyone and just by talking to people in the gift shops, I met a lot of nice college students. (When we would return to that shop on another day you would think we were the best of friends the way we talked) I don't know the type of person you are, but just be friendly to everyone and be willing to start a conversation with people and within a short time you meet the friends of a lifetime. (I heard there are A LOT of parties there too!! - Which is good because you don't make enough money to do much else!)

You will have a great time on the CP. My daughter did it twice and enjoyed it.

I have had 3 children in the program over the last 6 years and I have a hint that works everytime! Go to checkin a little after it begins so there is a large group already in line. Then, hang back watching people arrive and see how they seem personality wise- then get in line behind someone who they seem like someone you may get along with. Strike up a converstion and if it goes well suggest that you both ask to be put in the same apartment- 99% of the time you are placed with the people in line with you, especially if you ask to be with someone. If during your time in line (which can be 45 minutes to 1 hour), you find that you don't really think you like this person so much, then excuse yourself (for the potty or whatever) and start over at the end of the line! This works well for everyone I know who has tried it.
