I am in MO too and that is the way my decree reads. College- 65% and child support.
Question: I have always been afraid to modify since I don't have the expense of child care anymore. Not sure what his salary is now either. Any advice?
It depends. In MO, the base child support amounts are adjusted every few years. I just did a form 14 today, removing daycare, but both parents incomes went up. With the overnight credit given to the non-custodial parent, child support was going to stay about the same.
There are form 14's online that you can start plugging numbers into to see how your child support is going to change based on different scenarios. Just google form 14 (you may need to add Missouri) and look for teamlex.
As for parenting plans, yes most states should have some document (everything I have seen from other states it says parenting plan) that outlines each parents responsibilities for the child(ren). This is because the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction act (which is a federal suggestion for states to adopt and most have) refers directly to formal parenting plans.
This would outline the physical custody, legal custody, and anything else that is required (for example, here in MO either the parenting plan or the judgment must contain the language from the relocation statue)
Haley's Mom, all your questions are going to depend on state statute. For example, here in Missouri, child support continues so long as the child does well enough in school to stay the next semester (and follows the other notification requirements to the parent paying child support). Once a child is emancipated, the paying parent must either go through an administrative change of child support or file emancipation papers in the circuit court to modify child support (if there is no question of emancipation, then its usually just a matter of paperwork)
