She studies, reads, surfs the internet and texts friends.
That doesn't sound very good does it? But she is a really sweet girl. A homebody. She almost never gets in trouble. Her teachers like her.
She has tried lots of sports and hasn't taken to any of them. She isn't musical and too shy to be in theatre.
A sweet girl and a good student, really that is wonderful and as a mom I know that's all we can ask for!!

One of my dds was really into sports and did all three seasons of varsity athletics, which was a big time commitment. However even that isn't considered "enough" plus she had other aspects of her personality. Other activities she did were: yearbook (editor in senior year); Student Movement Against Cancer (did various fundraising activities including Relay for Life); volunteered as a CCD teacher's aide at our parish (one night a week during the school year for four years); worked as a youth soccer referee; something else I cannot place right now.
My older dd was more like your dd, she wasn't into sports or music, (loves to read!!) some things she did were: debate team; church youth group (including two summer trips to repair homes in Appalachia); school newspaper; volunteered at a local science museum one summer; volunteered as a day camp counselor one summer; worked a part time job senior year.
Other kids we know did things like: volunteer at the local library once a week or during the summer; cook a meal or bake once a week for the local soup kitchen; organize a food drive for the local food pantry; volunteer at an animal shelter; babysit as a part time job; help out with little kids' sports teams. One kid was really into photography and worked on developing that, entered shows, etc. Another girl raised seeing eye dogs, one kid was into martial arts and was very accomplished in that. Another kid volunteered with his town's first aid squad and is going to be an EMT.
Do her friends do any activities that she could join in? Since she is reserved, maybe going with a friend would be easier for her. Good luck!
