Collecting Payment on Ebay

I have a question on selling on Ebay. I am brand new to selling and just had three auctions end and I don't see where they have paid. I received an email that says that buyer sent payment and it's being processed by Paypal. Auction ended Saturday afternoon and it's now Monday morning. Am I missing something here? How can I tell when the payment is received. Will Paypal send me an email?

You can always check your Paypal account to see if payment is listed as "complete." But normally you will get an email telling you that you received a payment.

Depending on the type of payment they sent, it can take up to 5-7 days to clear. Credit card processes immediately. Debit will process the following business day. E-check can take a week.

Do not send out the item until the payment is completed.

When I go to paypal should it say I have pending payments? It doesn't tell me anything when I go there. I have a $0 balance in paypal but when the payments hit will it change my balance?

Did you give the buyer (or when you set up the auction to list your PayPal info) the correct email address to use for the PayPal transaction?

I once accidentally listed my OLD email address on an auction. It was a pre-set and I hadn't sold anything for months. I didn't realize my mistake until I didn't get the money in my account when the buyer said they sent it.

I eventually got the money, but I didn't make the buyer wait for the item due to my error.

Is your paypal account set up to accept credit card payments. You might have to upgrade your account.
