I seem to recall that Coldwater Creek has a remailer in Canada - I just read this on their site... so you will pay the duty, etc upfront in their shipping rates rather then after when you recieve the items - most shipments from the US are not really charged duty (most are covered by the duty free laws, but if customs opens your package they charge $5 plus the gst - which is usually what costs so much!)
Will I be charged sales tax?
Coldwater Creek makes arrangements with a licensed Canadian customs broker to act as your agent and import goods purchased from Coldwater Creek on your behalf. The broker clears merchandise and accounts for duties and taxes at the border, as title to the items you purchase from us transfers at our shipping point in the United States. Our shipping and handling costs reflect the taxes paid on your behalf by the broker, allowing you to avoid any inconvenience of importing products from the United States.
