DAY THREE: MONDAY JUNE 17 ‘5-4-3-2-1 SCREEEEECCCHHH!!!’
Every one is up and ready on time. We have banana’s and cereal in the room for breakfast this morning. We are off to the Bus stop by 8 am to the park by 8:30 and inside MGM by 9:00am waiting at the RnR rope drop. While we are waiting I send Melissa over to sign us up for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. She comes back and says they are sold out!!! I thought you could only get these the day you were there at the park? Any one know what’s going on? Oh well, not that big of a deal.

The crowd is now moving, we head right to RnR FP machine and grab all 8 FP. Then everybody but me and the twins go on RnR standby, I take the twins to RnR gift shop and then swap with Melissa when they get off. Melissa takes twins to Play House Disney the rest of us grab 8 more FP as our first ones are 5 minutes active. We end up somehow each riding 3 times in different combinations. At 10:45 I head off to meet Melissa and the twins to watch the hunchback show. Jacob, Tami, Becca, and Michelle continue to ride RnR using FP. They end up riding each 6 times before we meet again for lunch.

I meet up with Melissa and the twins for Hunchback, Melissa has another bag of pins grrrrr. The twins loved the Hunchback show. After the show we head over to lunch at Sci Fi Dine Inn theater. While we are waiting I head over to Star Tours to get FP for after lunch. Unfortunately the Star Tours FP machines are being redone so there is no FP for Star Tours. I grab Muppet 4D FP instead and head back to lunch. We have always liked this restaurant in the past, but this time we just didn’t have that much fun. It seemed really loud, the food wasn’t very good, and our waiter was super slow and never refilled our drinks.

After lunch, Jacob really wanted to ride Star Tours, so Melissa and Jacob waited in the 60 minute line while we used our FP for the Muppets. I think it’s time to make a new muppet 4D movie as this one seems to be getting a little beat up and is no where near as crisp of effects as ITTBAB. As we excited Muppets, the down pour started up. It’s a long haul from the exit of this show back to the stroller parking where our ponchos were, but oh well, we got a little wet. The twins crawled back in the stroller and fell asleep for two hours. We met up with Melissa and Jacob. They both really liked the Star Tours ride.

We decided to give ToT a shot so we headed over and grabbed FP. The twins kept sleeping so Jacob and I stayed under the ToT FP distribution shelter with the sleeping twins while the others went pin hunting againd grrrrr. Jacob and I had a very fun conversation with a CM named ‘Al’. I don’t know the politically correct way to say this but Al is 24 years old and is no bigger than Jacob at 5 years old. Al tried to get Jacob to think he was 5 too, but Jacob wouldn’t fall for it. We talked about everything from Pokemon to Star Wars to WDW to the Weather. It was a fun 1 hour in the rain without doing anything. AL kept trying to get Jacob to give him his poncho because his shift was up and he didn’t want to get wet!

Everyone showed back up and Myself, Jacob, Tami, and Becca all rode ToT. Jacob was scared during the lightening effects and the strange happenings, but enjoyed (if you can call it enjoying) the drops themselves.

While we were on ToT, Melissa and the other kids got more FP for RnR. When we got back, I took the twins to try to see The Little Mermaid Show while everyone else continued to ride RnR using FP. Mermaid was a 90 minute wait and we couldn’t FP because they were using the twins and my ticket for FP on RnR. So instead we tried The Great Movie Ride with a 20 minute wait. This ended up being the twins favorite ride. The loved it all, especially when the bank robber took over and .....

After the ride the twins and I grabbed Ice Cream Bars. I was always a lover of the Mickey Bar, but I must admit the 100 Year with Carmel is Heavenly!!!

We met up with the group again and they each rode RnR two times while were gone and Melissa had another one of those little bags of pins grrrrr. The parade was about to start so we headed over and the route was already three rows deep. Some nice teenage boys let the kids sit on the curb in the front (Thanks Guys!) and I kept Hannah on my shoulders in the back. Again the Parade started about 10-15 minutes late while some boring guy did trivia with all the answers being ‘Walt Disney’. This was ok the first few questions, but it was getting old fast! Finally the parade started and it was cute. Mickey gave up his seat in his car for ‘Stitch’ as the new movie was about to open. I stand six foot five inches and weigh in at around 300 pounds so Hannah was pretty much way above everybody else. She would scream out every major characters name and they would all (with the exception of Hercules or Jerlules to us now) would look right at her and either wave to her or blow her kisses. That made her day!

We split up and did a little shopping and met back at the bus stop at 7pm. Low and behold another little pin bag in Melissa’s hand grrr. Back at the hotel we needed a relaxing evening after three days of none stop running around. We had dinner at the food court at All Star Music and we were all very pleased with the food. Melissa, Tami, and Becca decided to head to the downtown area for some shopping while I stayed back with the kids.

I took the kids to the arcade and gave each of them $5 to play with. Michelle was playing ticket games and struck it rich. She was playing a game where you roll a quarter and try to get it to land in the back of a little dump truck and if you hit the one that is flashing you get a ‘bonus’. Her first quarter she hit the bonus truck and this thing started spitting out tickets. I swear this thing spit tickets for 10 minutes straight for that one quarter. Once it finally stopped we literally had filled up the back pack I was carrying. We put them in the ticket counter machine and she ended up with 953 tickets from that one quarter (I think the game had a problem). We ended up getting everybody a little squirt gun for the pool, and Michelle picked a huge blow up hammer, a blow up pillow filled with feathers, and a gum ball machine, and few other little trinckets.

We headed back to the room, took a swim, and the kids went to bed by 11:30pm. The other three showed up around 12:30am with tons of little bags of pins grrrr and a chocolate covered rice krispy treat for me and a diet coke. This took away some of the pain from the pins.

Melissa had also found out from a CM that Tiger Woods would be at Disney MGM Studios the next day playing WWTBAM and being the Grand Marshall of the Parade after winning the US Open on Sunday. She is a Celebrity freak and NEEDS to see him tomorrow. Ok, we will work it in. GOOD NIGHT!

Another Good Day, but again more rain than we expected. I think we are all on round two of ponchos as they rip in the neck very easily. (NOTE: bring duct tape for poncho repair on next trip).

Hi,
I'm enjoying your reports and am looking
forward to reading the rest!
So sorry about the rain, but it sounds like
you are all doing great in spite of it.
I have my own "dump truck" arcade game
story. One day in a "ticket" arcade I was
helping my son play a game. I had put our
quarters in the cup holder on the stroller. I
turned around to get my son one and saw
that there weren't many left! My daughter
was standing up in the stroller, helping
herself to the quarters and dispensing them
into the "dump truck" game!:jester: The
floor was covered in tickets, she kept
nailing that little jackpot sign right on the
money. I think she had a rhythm going.:D
She was only 2 at the time. Now she is a
ticket addict.
She already has a few pins, including
two new Lilo and Stitch ones I bought
her yesterday at the Disney store. I think
I may be in for it!
I'm off to read the rest of your reports.
Dreaming that some day soon my DH will
give me the o.k. to start trip planning!
Take Care, Patty
