Coldplay Kiss Cam Drama

His "apology" blames Coldplay.

“I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent... I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”

That is a bad apology.

A good apology is one that is sincere, specific, and acknowledges the harm caused. It should include taking responsibility for the actions, expressing remorse, and demonstrating a commitment to making things right and preventing future occurrences.

His apology started good, then he added the sentence blaming others for his actions.

I have read stories of comedians warning people that a particular show is being recorded and if you are there with someone you don't want the world to know about, now is your chance to leave. Soon after the announcement one or more couples would leave and not return.

I like how someone pointed out that before the concert his net worth was just over 10 million and is now likely somewhere in the 4 million range after the divorce.

That was an expensive concert!

The memes are strong with this one :rotfl2:

It's very sad for all the family members affected. However, it is also incredibly STUPID for these 2 to go out into a big public concert with hundreds of potential neighbors or community members around. I mean, cmon.
Honestly, going to the concert itself wouldn't have really been a big deal. I mean, they're co-workers and I would guess it's probably a corporate box at the stadium. But that obviously is not the picture of just two co-workers being shown on screen.

She's divorced and he's likely separated from his wife. They probably didn't want to publicize their relationship yet.
I’m not so sure he was legally separated from his wife before the concert.

His wife has removed his last name from all her social media since the concert.

He would not have tried to hide like that if he was separated.

If he had just remained in frame we wouldn’t be talking about him. Instead he hid and drew attention to the fact he was doing something he shouldn’t.

Make your bed, now you lie in it. I have no sympathy for them but if the spouse(s) didn't already know, I have sympathy for them and any kids involved because now they're going to be hounded. But whatever happens to those two or the company? Nope. You did it, you have to live with it. And I smell lawsuits from former employees because she's HR and he's the CEO. There will be claims of unfairness and bias all over the place. Between the damage to the company and the (I'm sure) impending divorce(s), it makes Ticketmaster ticket fees seem super cheap!

It wasn't his apology, it's fake. Was created by a prank account that is now suspended.

Agreed - what would have been the odds that anyone would have even recognize either of them if they just stood there (maybe with a little less PDA). Maybe an employee or a friend notices them, but it's unlikely to go viral without him diving out of frame like he did.

I guess we should give him the benefit of doubt but his actions make it hard to not believe the apology was put out, not well received, and then labeled as fake.

I’d like to think he is done being a CEO but I know this will all be forgotten quickly.

A CEO should be honest and trustworthy. This guy is obviously neither.

But he is a man and will be forgiven as just doing what men do.

The post wasn't sourced to any account of his, it came from a twitter account that is now suspended. The whole thing calling it a "private moment" was a tell.
