Coldest Hotel Room (a/c) at Disneyland

I'm freezing just thinking about how cold you guys keep your rooms :cold:
Me too! We are usually in a suite, and I have to tell my daughter the living room has to be comfortable for guests, so she will kick it up to 68/69 during the afternoon when we have friends visit, but goes back down to 65/66 at night. I am curious how cold people keep their houses!

So you are able to get your room down to 65 at DLH?

We will be running a fan that moves so that would keep sensor going.
I will check next trip to see if the gauge reads 65 on bypass. I'm 99% sure I have seen it there. Simply because *I* hate it that cold, so I turn it back up.

The moving fan won't keep the sensor on. It's high up on the thermostat. Something has to cross its path.

maybe a balloon with a fan to keep it moving

You literally just have to get up and wave your hand in front of the sensor a couple times a night. I wake up frequently to use the bathroom so that's how I manage it in hotels. I have never had luck overriding the thermostats. It never works.

Stay at Springhill suites on Katella. We stayed there last August and I gave my family frost bite at night. It's my boys fondest memory of the trip...I told them to be thankful they never have to experience pre- menopause.

Most thermostats can be over ridden. You can do a google search to find the right thermostat. Obviously from the number of videos out there a lot of people aren't happy with the energy saving thermostats. I actually had maintenance from Riviera resort at WDW come out. They had me video them doing it because we were there a week and the override only last three days. We stayed at SSR in May and I was able to override the thermostat there too.

Trust me do a google search you'll see what I'm talking about. Your hotel stays will be so much better.

In our room at the GC on the 3rd floor we found when we set it at 69 it got pretty cold and if we changed it to 70 it warmed up a lot.
