I am all for fall (my faaaaaaaavorite season), however...40 degrees overnight the first week of September is a wee bit extreme. Currently it's 63 degrees and I am freezing. Looking forward to hot Florida in a couple weeks. :thumbsup2

Quite honestly, Fort, I'd rather it be cold than sweltering. Easier to add another layer kwim. The fact that most of the time here it's cold, makes those 3 days of 90+ super unbearable. :lmao::lmao:

For what it's worth, I just did a quick weather history check, and for the month of August we had a total of 6 days that reached above 80, and the highest temp was 87. Since June, the total # of days above 80 is 36, and the highest temp was 93. There were only 7 days we hit the 90's.

Well, we're cooking here. It's 97 today (feels like 99) with (thankfully) only 33% humidity. Last week the humidity was 68-74% with the same temperatures.

We got a notice today from the electrical company that we will have our AC out for about 4 hours today :scared: Too many people using ACs = rolling brown outs.

PrincessSchmoo...yeah heat here rarely occurs w/out humidity. That's why I like fall, usually it's in the upper 70's low 80's with practically no humidity. You can keep that heat out there ;)

Hot and humid here in AL. I can't wait for some cooler weather, but I don't like it to be freezing either. Our seasons are usually: not too hot, hot, very hot and this summer...rain almost every day.

Enjoy your trip!

I am looking forward to fall ........actually winter.
106 here

Sounds a lot like my house! The sun was nice today, but still....brrrrr!
DH has been in S. Calif. all week and is sweltering. We should have traded!

It's going down to the low to mid 70's here on Long Island. I had the a/c's off for the first time last night. However, I like the summer and am not looking forward to the colder weather. Better yet, I like May/June and September's weather b/c it's not too hot and not too cold. It's just perfect :thumbsup2

The cool feels good, but make no mistake about it Im gonna miss the heat

I'll trade you! It was 91 here today and only getting hotter this weekend. I'm ready for Fall!

South Mississippi heat index is still close to 100 every day here. Chance of thunderstorms only brings more humidity. Looking forward to December!

We've had the A/C turned off since before the long weekend and it was so cool last night and tonight that I broke out my flannel lounge pants and a hoodie! I'm enjoying this after the humidity that we had last month. It does seem a little early for it to be this cool, though. My fall flowers are going gangbusters out in the garden.

Wanna trade? We're still hitting 100 here.

Fall is my favorite season too. Good thing it's only about 7-8 weeks off now!

99 here in the Central Valley. At least it cools off at the night time, but keeping this place warm is a whole lot cheaper than cooling it off.

It hasn't been cooling off all that much at night here. 95-97 in the daytime and 80-85 at night.

I generally like things warmer than others around me, but this is even too much for me.
