Years ago a travel book mentioned spots in the parks that had "ICY COLD WATER FOUNTAINS" to refill your water bottles. Does anyone know about these and where they are at?

There are water fountains all over the place, but I haven't noticed any significant temperature difference between them. Your best bet is to find one in the shade.

And just a heads up the water is going to taste terrible out of a fountain, especially if you're used to filtered or bottled water at home.

Yep, look for shaded fountains and make sure you let them run a bit before you drink or fill up a water bottle.

The water out of the fountains taste bad because they sit in the sun all day and the water develops a nice metal/ copper flavor. yummy. :crazy2:

I don't find the water fountain water being that bad. I fill up my unfiltered water bottle all the time. Definitely don't go to one that has been in the sun. The one at the top of the hill at the International Gateway is one to avoid. The water fountain near the Off Kilter stage in Canada is probably the best one. Yes, I fill up enough to know which ones are good ones.

Just a suggestion that I do myself after having to wait for a lady to fill up ten bottles for her family. Please use the lower water fountain to fill up your bottle(s). MOre adult than kids use the fountains so you are leaving the higher one available for the taller people. Just a suggestion - it's the same water.
