Feels like winter here this morning. The temperature at 9am was 42 degrees with a stiff wind from the north. I took the dog out and I could see my breath. That doesn't happend often here. It should warm up later to the mid-60s.

If you are heading this way soon, remember to bring clothes for all types of weather. Last week it was 80 degrees. Winter is very unpredictable here.

Sure beats the -9 degrees we have right now! :D Can't wait until we get there in a few days! :cool1:

Thanks so much for your post.

We leave in three days and I scrutinized the Weather Channel every 6 hours. Hoping to see the temps. go up to 70's down there. I'd really like for my family to go swimming in the volcano pool at the Poly.

Even 50's would be a nice break from this Kansas winter (teen's for highs these past few days). I am sure hoping for some 70's in just over two weeks. At least the sunshine will be nice...keeping my fingers crossed! :sunny: :sunny:

It's snowing like mad where I'm at. However, it's a good reminder to everyone headed down that it's not always a warm 80+.

Wow! Forty degrees is beginning to feel warm. I really don't miss that really cold and snowy winters!

We'll be there this Friday!!! :D We're packing all types of clothes, for all types of weather. On our last December trip it was 80 degrees half the trip & then down into the 30's at night the other half.

Was really looking forward to 80 degrees, but anything beats the 15 with a negative wind chill & sideways blowing snow that we have here now!

Hi,

DD was in Orlando last week enjoying the warm weahter. She went home to MN to 20 below windchill! LOL.

Is Feb weather in Orlando as erratic as Dec/Jan or does it begin to calm down?

herc.

We leave on Friday and will bring layers of clothes--shorts, short sleeves, pants, sweatshirts, and lightweight jackets. I'm hoping for highs at least in the low 60's. We're having cold temps right now, but have had a fairly warm winter so far here in Maryland.

T&B

It's a frigid 25 in Memphis right now.

Since I'm counting down the days to double-digits (see below) I've got WDW on the mind. As I walked to the car I wondered what the temp was in ORL.

I'd also suggest packing some warmer clothing for this time of year even if the weather man says it's going to be warmer.
The morning we left for our December trip I looked at Accuweather, NOAA and The Weather Channel. All said highs in the upper 60s/lower 70s, and in the upper 50s at night.
After we got there on the second night it was in the 30s at night and highs in the 50s. In Epcot where the wind seems to blow all the time near the water we really froze.
Had we known the weather would have been that cold I'd have packed warmer stuff. We ended up buying extra sweatshirts so we could dress in layers. Some days were nice, but some days were just cold.

In the ATL(north metro)it was 21 degrees with a 7 wind chill, and we are expecting a low tonight of around 16 degrees.

our high today about 6 pm is suppose to be 41 degress, i'll take that 42 degrees with a high of 60 over this!!

Boy do I need to move back to my home state :flower1:

thanks I think we hit our high of 19 it is all downhill from now suppose to go to 6 with bad wind chill factors LOL

We were in the area last Thursday night until Sunday (yesterday). It rained every day. We never saw the sun! We left yesterday morning in the pouring rain but the sun came out yesterday afternoon, I guess it was us! No really, I hear a "cold front" came through the area.

Lisa - Sorry- that is the first and only rain that we have seen since Christmas Day... even in WDW it has to rain sometime!!!

We leave Friday too and are expecting the weather to be exactly like it is here in Arizona right now. Cold in the mornings and a night and sweatshirt weather during the day. We are not used to the snow and stuff, so high 60's to us means sweatshirts! We will bring what we wear here at home and probably be just fine!!

Me too Big V - I just LOVE going to FL when it is such a typical Wisconsin Winter. I only wish we could transplant the whole state. :earboy2:

Leaving in 48 hours.....

kikipug,

You don't miss the weather here? :rotfl:

Not to complain, but it was 43 below zero at my house this morning. That wasn't the wind chill...That was the actually temp.

OK, I am complaining!

Just talked to our friends down there (Deltona) they said it's cold had to turn the heat on again. I said it's not that cold (52) it's 23 degrees up here. We will be down there the end of this week leaving Thursday morning. I am bringing clothes for all kinds of weather. It will be warmer than up here and sunny too. :jumping4:
