I'm a little nervous as I'm THE biggest worrier and "What if" person. I'm planning to have about 3-4 days at WDW before our actual wedding but I'm almost positive I will get cold feet and don't really want to waste my time at WDW worrying to death for nothing. Has anyone gotten cold feet or afraid they will? I feel stupid asking this as almost all of the trip reports I've read have been brides who couldn't wait to get down the aisle. Have any of you been nervous or gotten cold feet? I don't want to be the WDW Runaway Bride! :) Anything to help prevent cold feet (besides not marrying him as I know he's the one for me I'm just crazy and overanalyze every decision).

Aww I don't think you will get cold feet. I think it's normal to be nervous,it's one of the biggest day in your life.

You could have your doctor prescribe something very mild to calm your nerves down for the day of the wedding.

I love the picture of the castle btw.

I went to high school in Yorktown! I am sorry you are worried about cold feet, I have not had that but I am a chronic worrier that things will not go right. I think that being down in WDW a few days before might be a good thing to alleviate your fears. Maybe you could have a few unstressful dinners too just to talk about the big step. If he is the one for you than deep down you know the decision is the right one. Good luck!

I got cold feet the night we got engaged! I started panicking that maybe it was the wrong decision and stuff. It soon passed though :)

I went to high school in Yorktown also!

Neverlandclub23- I'm sure you're just nervous. If you have any issues just talk about them with your DF. Maybe you're just worried about the change like other girls have said. It will be ok :) Go with your gut and have a great wedding!

i was super nervous the day of the wedding....i was downing alka seltzer all morning
infact in our wedding day video there are a few moments we both had the looks of death on our faces
Well i am happy to report that everything was fine & there was nothing to worried or be scared about.
I think its a completely natural reaction
You'll be fine
Find ways to keep yourself busy or destracted, that might help you not think about it:thumbsup2

good luck

I am also a "what if" person! We had three days in the parks before the wedding, so during that time I tried not to think about it! The day of the wedding rehersal I thought I was going to vomit! I swear! All I kept thinking was what if I didnt set up this right, or what if I really didnt schedule this? My nerves got a little calmer when I saw our names on the board in the GF for rehersal and the WP. When it was time to go to the WP for rehersal we showed up 15 minutes early. I didnt think about the time and started to freak out even more thinking OMG I didnt call them or I didnt plan this when they werent there! Then I saw Rev. Kev and our wedding planner walking up and I started to cry! After they arrived all my nerves for the day were calmed! We got through everything, and I made sure everything was set for the next day! I have to admit I started to feel the same nerves come back the night before thinking, I hope I really did set up, Lisa who came to the hotel to do our hair and make up! And I did and she was actually early. We were actually just wakipng up when she came ( at 5 30 in the am)! I remember when she was doing my hair, and I had all the girls behind me freaking out and looking for this or that, just sitting in the chair not even listening to them! Lisa even told me that I was the calmest bride ever! Because my thoughts were" well, I talked to everyone yeaturday, everything is set, I cant change anything now, so it is what it will be!" And I just let everything.. my cares and worries go! And it all worked out wonderful! As yours will too! It is normal to be nervous.. just remember to try and stay calm, and breath! You spent months maybe even years planning this, if you are as much as a "what if" person like me then I am sure you went over anything and everything a million times, and have all your lists to prove it! Enjoy your day! It goes so fast! Happy planning!

Where did you go to high school? I went to Grafton

I think it's perfectly natural...my DF and I will be saying I DO in a little over 6 months and yes, I have a "slight" case of cold feet!! we've both been married before, have grown children, and have been living together for almost 3 years...plus, we went through 2 traumatic experiences in the last year which will either "make or break" a relationship..

when I hear his voice: I smile, when he wraps his arms around me: I'm home and safe....he is absolutely the most wonderful man I have ever met and I am truly blessed to have him share his life with me..

so why the cold feet? I put it all to human nature....I'm sure when I see him waiting for me and he takes my hand and we say "I do" .....need I say more?

don't worry, and enjoy those first days together before the wedding! I'm sure it will be all and more than you dreamed of!

It's always reassuring when your fiancee says she hasn't had cold feet. phew! :)

I never had cold feet about marrying my wonderful hubby but the day before our DFTW I was driving to Orlando (about a 2-hour drive) with just me and my wedding gown (daddy and MOH were following with all the luggage and DH went earlier with his parents). The whole way I cried and cried and cried. I had no doubts about DH but I was seriously reconsidering a Disney wedding. To be fair, my mom had just passed away. And my Godmother was missing - I had to call all over to track her down. We were really scared about her because her husband had just died a few weeks earlier (she was out buying me a wedding card - DOH!!). I was just a mess :guilty: To top it off, the whole drive down DH kept calling me with problems with our room. I was ticked off because I had called WL every day for 4 days leading up to the wedding about our room, just to confirm what kind of room we were getting. At that point I just yelled at DH "You have to handle this! I cannot take any more!"

When I pulled up to WL and saw DH standing there, smiling and waiting for me all of my worries melted away :cloud9: He took care of the room, he cheered me up about missing mom, he did exactly what I needed. Once I saw him I knew it would all be perfect. And the next day I knew getting married at Disney was perfect too. The whole day was completely magical - I could not have asked for anything better!

You will worry. You will be concerned. It is completely normal. Try not to stress, but don't stress about not stressing either :headache: Just try to remember that on your wedding day it will all work out. Disney are experts. And know that you are marrying the man of your dreams!

I think it's natural to be nervous -- it's a HUGE change and something that most likely you've been planning and thinking about for a very long time. I'm the same way -- I worry about everything and I'm constantly anxious about something. I'm hoping that the days before the wedding in the parks will be a nice distraction for me. If I were just sitting around at home or work, I would drive myself crazy with all kinds of last minute doubts (not about DF, but about other wedding decisions). This is another reason I NEED to see DF the morning of the wedding... he's the only one that can calm me down

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine

I am in the same shoes as you are and I have a while to go until my big day.... I am def. the BIGGEST:guilty: WORRIER and WHAT IF QUEEN... I am so nervous that if I faint from nerves or throw-up from the nerves as well..LOL I mean its so silly that I am thinking this... I am not thinking of running away but afraid of making a fool of myself doing something... I am going to ask my DR to prescribe something for me to relax... GL to you

Thanks everyone for the great responses. It SO eases my mind! I think I'll be fine I'll just have to keep myself busy. I have awhile to go but I know once it gets closer I may have to drink heavily every day. :)

And OMG I went to Grafton and graduated in 2000 too! How weird is that?!?!
