From what I've been able to research, it seems that Coki Beach Dive Club would be a good place to take my 2 little girls (ages 5 and 8) snorkeling. Anybody have any comments about Corki Beach Dive Club? Thx.

We arranged the snorkel package with the Coki Beach Dive Club during our 1/19 cruise. Our kids ages 14, 12, 10 and 8 had never snorkeled but had practiced a little in our pool. I called ahead and made reservations with Laura (owner). The $30 package was perfect for us. It included Laura meeting us at the gangway and driving us to Coki Beach which would normally cost about $7 per person in a cab. You have to arrange your own return to the ship but there are cabs all day at Coki anxious to take you back. The dive staff was great in fitting the kids, making adjustments, helping them in the water, and identifying the sea life. Especially with the younger ones, its hard to help more than one kid at a time snorkeling. The instuctor helps you for about 1/2 hour and you get to use the gear all day. They will also give you stuff to feed the fish - be sure to take an underwater camera. The fish are very plentiful - in fact with regular goggles you can see plenty just a few feet offshore, especially later in the day as more people come and feed the fish (they're well-trained). We liked Coki - plenty of local atmosphere, food and drinks easily available, beautiful beach and scenery once you get there - the ride to the beach makes you wonder.

I tried to book for 1/12 cruise. Apparently, they send you an e-mail confirmation when you send you info, but they never got our info. I didn't know that they had not, and didn't know that they send a confirmation to me, so we waited on the gangway for 40 minutes before we finally decided they weren't coming. When I got back home, I e-mailed Laura regarding the confusion. She called within 3 hours to say that they had never received our reservation form. SO, make sure you are confirmed or you will not be picked up. Coki Beach is beautiful. Taxis back and forth are $7 per person each way.

We are investigating Coki Beach Dive Club, too and are interested in the intro to scuba dive.

Was wondering if anyone had done that?
