I am waiting for them to give an official response to the customers who are complaining about the "Limit One." I've been watching the facebook since last night (not constantly, but here and there,) and some people are REALLY put-out.
I admit that I am annoyed, having set an alarm to get this deal. I expected the site issues (happens with all the good deals) but the change from 4 to 1 was upsetting... If I'd known, I wouldn't have given up my sleep for a $5 deal.
The people who are most upset, and I believe have a right to be, are those that bought coke products specifically to get 4 coupons and are now "stuck" with the points.
I keep checking back hoping that coke will make good on their deal and not alienate their customer base like this. But not a peep out of them yet. What REALLY burns me is the people who are logging into Facebook and telling everyone to "quit whining" and "be grateful for anything at all." Ummm... no...
I really liked the person who just wrote "entitled" to slam the angry customers. Actually, yes. If the customers made a purchase expecting something in return--that had been advertised for over a week, in multiple locations, in WRITING-- then yes, that customer is "entitled" to the promised compensation.
I understand the meme "entitled" as it is used as a slur against people who want something for nothing... but that doesn't change the fact that sometimes you really are "entitled" to something. If you sell me a car, you are "entitled" to the money I promised you. If I pay you for a car, I am "entitled" to the car I paid for.
I hearby launch a campaign to bring back the positive meanings of "entitled."
