Is coffee free for room service or is there a charge for that? Thanks-Tracey :flower:

Coffee is free. Small tip for delivery person is nice.

Bad does not begin to describ the stuff. The only good cup is in the Cove.

The coffee you can purchase in the Cove Cafe is not complimentary. There is a charge for them...they are specialty coffees like at Starbucks...lattes, cappuccinos, etc.

I do not drink coffee at all, so I can't say how the coffee onboard is...but they make a nice Chai Latte in the Cove that I have sometimes....

Anyone know how early in the am The Cove opens? I just gotta' have an early morning coffee that is something better than that nasty Nescafe Disney serves! I would be more than willing to run up there and get us some but not sure how early I can count on them being open?
Thanks.....DIS NURSE :flower:

Good to know! Guess I'll be visiting The Cove for my morning cup of decaf. I wonder why cruise lines have such a problem making good coffee?

How late does the cove cafe stay open?. Can you get a "regular" cup of coffee there too?

They do have lattes and cappuccinos through room service, even though they aren't on the menu. Just call and order. There is a charge, but they are much better than their regular coffee. We had our lattes every morning on the ship.

:earsgirl: Thanks for the tip on ordering the lattes from room service. How will I know what all we can order? Is there a place where I can get a copy of the menu or will they send me one if I ask when we board the ship? I am all excited about drinking my first cup of coffee on my verandah. :rotfl:

I was able to get a "regular" cup. It was about $1.50 if my memory is correct. They make each cup of coffee by hand. Nothing sets around for hours. Better bean than than they serve in any of the coffee houses I have visited around the country. Plus they put a treat on the plate for you. Starbucks charges for that.

There is a menu in each room. It lists the standard fare you can get and shows what there is a small charge for (beverages, movie style candy, etc). There are many things you can get that are not listed though, so if you want something ask..... Mickey Bars are not listed, but they can be had... :mickeybar

I almost forgot about Mickey Bars (it's been a few years since I visited WDW - blasphemy, I know)! My favorite ice cream of all time!!

I don't really remember how 'bad' the coffee is. But I do know that I don't drink as much while cruising. I HAVE to have coffee (3 cups) to wake me up in the a.m., but am so stimulated being on the Magic that I usually don't have more than one cup. I'm afraid if I visit the Cove it will be another 'must-have' each day. :rotfl:

I too was pretty repulsed by the coffee that they serve on Deck 9 -- it's your typical, industrial coffee brewed by the gallon. I learned by the third day or so that the only decent cup of coffee on the ship was a Cove Cafe. By the end of the seven day cruise, when they saw me coming, they had a double espresso ready to roll.

Just wonder what the coffee in the restaurant is like - am also very fussy about my coffee and to be fair would much rather drink instant than the luke warm stuff served in many places. Also only use coffee-mate not milk and wonder if this is available or should I bring my own?
