Coffee!

Two questions -

1. We are staying at AKL can you purchase pressed pots of real coffee and take them to your room (not Nescafe)

2. The coffee at McDonald in DTD is it also Nescafe or real coffee?

That Nescafe is nasty stuff!

1) You can't get pressed pots to take with you or to room (they disappear).
. . . Boma is a buffet with pressed pot coffee at an extra charge
. . . Mara has Nescafe to-go
. . . Mara also has espresso and latte to-go
2) McDonald's is regular Mickey-D coffee.

sorry to hijack the thread...but while we're on the topic of AKL and coffee...does anyone know if the coffee served in Boma is Nescafe or "real" coffee?
I know you can order the pressed pot-but what if you just order coffee not the pressed pot?

Boma has real French press coffee at the tables on request. Fabulous coffee

If you have a coffeemaker in your room, the gift shop sells a fantastic Kenyan roast... it's roasted by Joffrey's (Tampa), "exclusively" for AKL. The DVC rooms have coffeemakers, I'm not sure about the standard rooms.

I was planning on bringing my own coffee to make in our room...but I think now I'll get the coffee in the gift shop. Thanks!

That pressed-pot (they serve it at Jiko, also) is sooooooo good after all that "other" coffee.
