Are you charged for the packets of coffee in your room? (We are staying at CBR if that makes any difference).

:) Hello...I don't think they would charge. Atleast they didn't at POR and I would think it would be the same at all moderates. I hope this helps.

Sounds good. One less thing to worry about bringing!

no, there is no charge but I still bring my own - even at the $0 price I don't find in room coffee worth it!

I have not read much good about the coffee at WDW, but I'm not sure if it's the brand of coffee, or the water that makes it not so great. Maybe if you don't like the in-room coffee, try making it with bottled water? Just a thought.

I believe it is the coffee..........I don't know what the brand is in the rooms but the sludge they pass off in the food courts etc is Nescafe..........I always bring a few small filters and some coffee in a zip loc for my stays........I have to have good coffee!!

For any inroom coffee maker, I run through plain water first. Then I use bottled water and my own coffee (I travel with ground coffee and filters - practically live in hotel rooms most of the year) This makes a good cup of coffee for me.

There are a few hotels which do serve either Seattles Best or Starbucks as their in room brand; most others use a generic provider. I don't know if it's the filter they use, or the coffee, but it's not the water in my case.

Do you know which hotels / resorts have the Seattles Best or Starbucks. A Nowthwest guy needs to know for a mid January trip. :goodvibes

Gullivers Grill at the Swan has Starbucks. Not sure of any other locations.

Swan and Dolphin are 'proudly serve' locations ie they serve STarbucks brewed coffee.

And Big River Grille serves SBC...

Hope that helps!
