I saw posted here, or so I thought, that the resorts serve
Nescafe coffee, is that the instant stuff? Not to be stupid,
:confused3 but could someone who really likes coffee give me a lowdown.....
I did hear the GF has a starbucks, will find it eventually.....
I can not drink carbonated stuff anymore so soda is out and I need :surfweb: coffee so I can be a more
lively  , get up and go :cool1: kind of citizen.

I love coffee!!! :surfweb:

The best coffee I've had at WDW is Kona Coffee at the Poly.

BUT! ;)

Our last trip was in August, 2003, and I swear to every higher power there is - the food court coffee at ASMo was GOOD! It was really, really good. I drank alot of it. I don't care if it was Nescafe junk, it tasted good. :teeth:

And my DH, who also is a coffee nut, agreed. :thumbsup2

Another place I had a fairly decent cup of coffee was Concourse Steakhouse. I had it with my dessert, so perhaps that was clouding my judgment, but I don't remember saying "Ewwww, this WDW coffee stinks". ;)

I will soon find out if it's great coffee but there is no beating the presentation of Victoria & Albert's coffee "bong".

I started a thread after my last trip stating that I really enjoyed the coffee at Crystal Palace breakfast. Almost everyone thought it was a joke thread b/cuz almost everyone always says they hate the Nescafe served at WDW. But, I don't think it's exactly the same as the instant stuff you buy in the grocery store. I asked our server at CP about it and she showed me one of those industrial size coffee bags . . . definitely not instant! I thought it was good, most think it's not. To each his own! :)

I didn't think so either. I've seen several threads about how terrible the Nescafe is, and while I didn't think the coffee was great, it isn't THAT bad. Admittedly, it has been a long time since I've tried instant coffee, so maybe they've improved it. But if it's still the same stuff you could buy a decade ago, then the stuff I had at WDW wasn't instant.

I couldn't find a descent cup of coffee ANYWHERE in WDW.

Of course, I live in Portland, OR, where there are 2 Starbucks on every block just about! As well as Seattle's Best and coffee people.

Although I never made it to the Grand Floridian, I would have if I'd known there was a Starbucks there.... I was dying for a good latte.

I don't believe that GF has a Starbucks, but the Dolphin, or the Swan does. :thumbsup2

I remember I liked the coffee ok at 1900 Park Fare. Other than that, it tasted like church fellowship coffee...you drink it because it's that or doze off during the sermon. Who wants to sleep on ISWA?

I am a bit of a coffee snob, at home I use fresh ground beans from a specialty roaster and all that, but found I could drink the coffee at WDW. It's not wonderful, but it could be lots worse.

and it's definitely brewed not instant. instant coffee is an abomination. :crazy2:

I didn't think that the Dolphin or the Swan had a "Starbucks" only that one of the restaurants served Starbucks coffee -- regular coffee, not specialty drinks. Right?

I can't say from experience, "ALL," but when we stayed in Dec '03 Tubbi's, (their version of a food court/cafeteria) served only Starbucks. I figure if Tubbi's had it, everyplace else must have. :confused3

Pikabu, the cafeteria in the Dolphin (formerly known as Tubbi's) serves Starbucks coffee. They have urns of regular and decaf, along with a few syrups you can use to flavor them.

My husband is very picky with his coffee. Every Disney restaurant we ate in, he'd ask if they had "real coffee".

The only coffee he liked was at Tony's Town Square in MK. I think it was some sort of Italian coffee.

We are coffee junkies...grind our own....have it shipped from HI when possible. :teeth:

At WDW, it is hit or miss with the Nescafe. Mostly miss, but I have had a couple of times when I was in coffee withdrawal that it wasn't too bad. It seems to me it was early in the morning, so I wonder if the stuff is better fresh?? :confused3 It is never "great."

Anyway, the Kona at the Poly is a lifesaver, it is excellent. And I have heard the Kenya press pot is good too. Haven't tried it, but will in September!!

Now if you are craving a good cappuccino, latte, mochacino etc we found 2 carts in Epcot, one by the Ellen Degeneras thing and the other at the entrance to WS on the left side....you can smell the coffee in the air and it was delish!

hi
the coffee is better there than most places but the prices are ridiculous!!

:surfweb: This whole coffee issue really tickles me! :rotfl: - I also love coffee, good, strong, smooth coffee and it just amazes me that with all of the advances in Disney Dining-there are some fairly sophisticated restaurants there now...that they are still serving NESCAFE (will all apologies to those who like it)-it's bizarre... pirate:

When I was last there 3 years ago, we had lunch at Kona and they did have good coffee-but that was the only cup I had that was good-most they were just ok and some were really bad :stir: -I shudder to think what was in them...lol.

This trip we are staying at AKL and I understand you can get Kenyan pressed coffee at least at Boma...I plan to try it but I empathize and I don't understand why this is still so difficult....
