What size coffee pots at VWL? Are they 10 cup, 12 cup or what?

If doing breakfast cooking in the villa, is there anything you wished you'd had and didn't? I did buy the pre-cooked bacon to save time.

It should have a 12 cup Mr Coffee style brewer that takes the basket (flat bottom) type of filters.

There have been reports of some studios having a 4 cup brewer instead. If you are in a studio and there is a 4 cup and you want a 12 cup, call housekeeping and they will bring a 12 cup brewer.

We always have breakfast in room. I bring the flat bottom coffee filters, my favorite coffee and DH's tea. We go to Publix and get fruit, cereal, yogurt, water & baked goods. We think breakfast in room is one of the real perks of DVC.

Are you in a studio or a 1br? In a 1 or 2 bd I have pretty much allthat I need, I just bring zip lock bags, asst sizes and a few folded sheets of aluminium to line baking sheet/pans! Salt and pepper, coffee and filters!

But in a studio where everything is plastic I would recommend packing in your checked in suitcase if you fly, a paring knife to cut apples, hard cheeses etc.!

I believe that housekeeping would bring items like a paring knife if you requested it.

We are planning to get WeGo Shop to deliver some food for our studio stay. I am getting things like dozen eggs, bacon, rice. There are ways to boil an egg in the microwave!:thumbsup2 Bring some microwave plastic plates along with your paring knife and a few utensils. You would be surprised what you can cook in a microwave...

We're in a dedicated two bedroom. We are making breakfast every day. Also have cereal for if we need to eat on the quick side.
We are making about 4 meals and the rest quick service meals with the exception of one dinner at the WCC.
We are going to do steaks one night. A boston butt in a crock pot for another meal and have it on hamburger buns with chips etc. Another meal will be a low country boil with shrimp, potatoes, sausages, corn on the cob and I am bringing my big pot to make it in. And we are having a taco meal.

Love, love the 2bd's, and so will you! You'll have everything you need there, plus what you're bringing along, will make for fantastic meals! Have fun!

P.S. There will be an asst. of 4 knives in your villa, along with serving utensils etc.!

WOW that sounds yummy! We'll take an ADR for 4 for each meal for around 6pm!!!! :goodvibes

Salt and pepper! Either buy some shakers or stockpile food service type packets. Also butter if you are going to fry your eggs up in that :)

We had non-buttered eggs with no salt... I ended up using the drawn butter leftovers from my Fulton's dinner to cook :)

Cereal is suprisingly refreshing on vacation. Cut up fruit in it to make it a treat.
