Has anyone found any good substitutes to the in room coffee that will work in the small coffee maker in a Pop room? I like my coffee strong and good, I guess that makes me a coffee snob, and the in room coffee just doesn't cut it. (Neither does the food court coffee to be honest.) Does anyone make a pod similar enough to the "coffee ravioli" pods that they use at WDW? :coffee:

:thanks:

I am wondering the same thing! I have my favorite K-cups, but I've never found a good pod to fit that style coffee maker. I prefer to make a cup of coffee in the room while we're getting ready rather than walking over & waiting in line to buy a cup, but I'm also a self-proclaimed coffee snob.

One time we brought a small french press and bought a bag of coffee from Joffrey's in Disney Springs to make in the room! But I will say that they put the 50th Blend Kcups in our room (Gran Destino Tower) in December and it was pretty good!

Does anyone know if they are putting 50th Anniversary blend in the rooms at Pop?

I make my own. That way I can make each pod as strong as I want. And use the coffee I like.

I pack my Keurig whenever I can, but also like to travel with several sizes of Community dark roast. I think they make the size of single serves that will fit in those coffee makers. have to order online. I can't stand hotel swill.

You can search for senseo coffee pod.
You can buy reusable senseo filters on Amazon.

Edited to say I'm not sure if this is the kind of pots currently offered

We figured out that it wasn't the coffee/pod, but the maker that was the issue. The Joffrey's 50t h blend was actually really delicious, but the coffee makers brew weak coffee. I think the water goes through too fast - when H tried the 2 cup brew at the same time, the one side got a VERY strong, but small, cup while the other side got a normal but weak amount.

We also like good, strong coffee. We pack the Starbucks VIA packets and add them to the coffee we brew in the room or coffee we get at breakfast. A half a packet in each cup really amps the room coffee up. Before packing VIA, we would use the coffee ravioli like tea bags in the cup and let it steep for a few minutes which definitely made a better, stronger brew. I agree that the tap water is part of the problem. If you can use filtered water it’s much better.

How did you boil coffee for french press?
