Not in the DVC resorts, even in the new refurbs. they have a Mr. Coffee type pot and coffee basket and filter! In June at OKW we had a new coffee pot still in the box on the counter when we arrived.
I've done SSR, OKW and Kidani in the last 6 months and still the same coffee pot type.
I've seen in mentioned in some places as a spotty thing, and one person said they had a K-cup machine, but called the front desk and they replaced it with the old school coffee maker. I forget where that was, though.
I hope they don't go to all keurig-type machines. I really don't care for them. I had the keurig mini-brew in a hotel room recently, and had to have it replaced twice. And really, the coffee wasn't all that great.
I agree. While I haven't had personal experience with them...for the first 1/2 hour of the day, I'm not sure one machine could keep the supply coming fast enough for me & my wife!
I happen to love my Keurig, have one at home and at work. They are "safe" in that they have auto shut off and you don't have to worry about leaving a pot on to burn. They brew extremely quickly, I wouldn't worry about that.
What kind of coffee filters should I bring to AKL Jambo? We are going with grandparents and the packets in the rooms certainly won't be sufficient.
Standard/Generic Mr. Coffee type basket filters. I like a darker roast, so I've never asked if you can purchase the coffee they give you. The only good thing about it is that it's already packaged within a filter. Oh and at Kidani those little tiny coffee cups don't do the job. Bring a mug or buy one at the gift shop to use, or you'll be up and down getting coffee.
