coffee filters

Many of the coffee snobs (real coffee drinkers) say that you should also take into account the taste of the tap water at WDW when you brew your own. Bottled spring water or somthing like a Brita water pitcher would help. :smooth:

You will need to bring filters. Unfortunately, we ususally forget them and have to buy some when we get there. We now have at least 475 basket type coffee filters here at home where our coffee maker uses cone type. Oh well, they're cheap!

JR :teeth:

FYI,
I have NEVER had a problem getting a full size coffee pot in Studio homes in
BW, OKW, WL, BC (well, I guess that's all the WDW ones!).
If it's one of those tiny ones when I check in, I just call housekeeping, and ask for an exchange. If they don't show up B4 we head to the Parks, I leave a $2 tip on the counter with a note
THANKS for the coffee pot!
I always travel with my own coffee and filters, the coffee being those pre-packaged flavored ones you can buy in a regular grocery store for $.99.... very easy to carry.
Gotta have my pot of java in the am!!!!
:sunny:

Thanks for the info on getting a bigger coffee pot! Since I'm the only coffee drinker in the family, I never thought to ask for a bigger pot....I just jammed the big filters in. If I don't have small filters in my stash next time I'll know to call for a larger pot.

Oh, and we ran into the salt and pepper issue before....they don't sell salt and pepper in the resort stores. But, housekeeping will bring you a set of filled salt and pepper shakers if you request them. Of course, when we needed salt and pepper, our food was cold before we managed to get any! I think that's one more thing I should pick up for our DVC bag!

Lesley,
They do sell them at OKW, the disposable ones.

I just stayed at a BWV studio and had a 12 cup coffeepot.

Rather than worry about what size pot, I get the Maxwell House packets that are in a filter. I just use however many I need to make the amount of coffee I want.

I think the ones at OKW are 12 cuppers too. I love those Maxwell house coffee thingies. They actually make pretty good coffee.

Okay, that's great that OKW sells salt and pepper...the BWV store does not (or didn't when I needed it!) We had been staying in the 2br right above the store and I just ran down assuming I could buy salt and pepper....but there wasn't any. Sorry to have overgeneralized! OKW seems to be better equipped for DVC members than the mixed resorts!

And hey, in a pinch, the Maxwell House coffee singles really aren't too bad....

Why be sorry? I will tell you, when I saw the price of the s&p at OKW's general store, I was REALLY happy I had brought them from home. :)
