This is a critical question, as the most important part of my morning is coffee!;) I read that there are coffee filters in the room. How many are there? My concern is that there are one or two, and we are staying for a week! If I need to bring some from home, does anyone know the type of coffee makers are at the BCV?

Thanks!

They sell everything you need for your coffee maker right at the DVC general store at your resort.

The coffee filters are the basket type (not the cone-type) in the 8-12 cup size. I also bring a few of these from home so that I don't have to buy a whole box when I'm there. (I'm also a coffee snob, and bring my own brand of coffee :p )

If you're not too particular about the coffee brand, the coffee "packs" that are essentially filters with coffee already enclosed are another good option.

You can get coffee, filters, and filter "packs" at the general store, but be prepared to pay a premium price. When you bring your own, it clears out some space in your luggage for souveniers on the way back home!

;) ;) ;)

Yes, but it is pricey. If BCV uses the same coffeemakers as OKW, I find it easy to pack some Maxwell House filter packs (not the best coffee when your used to using a grinder, but it packs easily). I take them out of the store box and put them in a plastic bag so they "smoosh" into a suitcase better. Also, according to a room list I saw at OKW a "coffee pack" including 1 coffee pack, sugar, tea, and sweet & low is $3 from housekeeping. Otherwise you'll get a packet at check-in, trash & towel, and full housecleaning days.

I just bought a bag of Dunkin Donuts to take along.....as well as filters and sweet and lo!!!! It doesn't take up much space in the suitcase!

We just arrived home last night; in the BCV store a container of 10 coffee filter packs were $9.99. Was I glad I brought a container from home; they were about 1/3 the price! Also, there is a starter pack of reg and decaf and when the room was cleaned and trash and towel day, they replenished the one.

Thanks for all of the help! I think I will get a box of Mr. Coffee filters here and bring my own coffee!

A box of Mr. Coffee filters cost me $0.93 in the store at BCV. We had our own coffee but I forgot filters and I really did not mind the price. Probably the only thing in the store for under a dollar.
