Why is it so difficult to find regular, ordinary, whole milk to put in my to-go coffee?

Why is it that every time I'm in 7-11, Panera Bread, Starbucks, or Quik Chek they have every #*%$*! thing you could imagine to lighten your coffee except normal milk?

They'll have skim milk, fat free milk (is there a difference?), 1% milk, 2% milk, half-and-half, fat-free half-and-half (what the... is this stuff?!?!), flavored non-dairy creamer (again, WTH is this stuff? What's it made out of?).

But no whole milk!

Gimme regular milk, coffee sellers. It's not much to ask. And while you're at it, you can keep the Splenda (ick!) and Equal. I want Sweet 'n Low, darn it!

Oh JJ!:( ;) I love my splenda and International delight creamer (caramel-toffee flavored) in my "Candy in a Cup." What am I gonna do with you, dear? Sounds like you just like plain ol' coffee!:teeth:

I only want normal coffee and I want it black

The three Starbucks in my area all have whole milk. I think they feel compelled to ask me if I want "fat-free milk"...it's skim milk to me!...because I get a sugar-free vanilla latte. No, I want the fat! It tastes better and creamier. :teeth:

I'm a sweet 'n low person also. I don't want Equal or Splenda. And I certainly don't want the imitations some places have. Yuck!

I like whole milk in my coffee, but I think I'm the minority. Every time I ask for coffee with milk in a restaurant, the waitress looks at me like I'm nuts.

I am not a coffee drinker, but my DH is and he always throws those fancy "coffee Bars" into a frenzy when he goes in and asks for "coffee". They invariably say "what kind" and he invaraibly says "the liquid kind that goes in a cup".

I wouold tell the management of the places you frequent about your desire to have plain old whole milk as a choice. Maybe they'll listen.

A local convenience store around me always has whole milk as a choice. It's the only place around here that offers it. It does taste very good in coffee.::yes::
