Coffee and Ketchup

I'm an iced tea snob and the premix stuff is hor-ri-ble. I have a special "water" bottle and take tea bags. Use the hot water to brew, top with ice to take some of the heat off then put in frig. So I understand the coffee dilemma.

Well, there’s two issues with the iced tea on DCL

1) it’s Fuze.
2) it’s a fountain drink.

Your way takes some time to make, but sounds 1000 times more tasty and refreshing.

I don’t know if it is or not. All I can tell you is that I drink coffee practically via IV, and I tapped out after breakfast on day 2 of a seven nighter and went without while on board.

I agree that DCL coffee is awful. And I don't think Cove Cafe is any better. I ordered a chai latte there and they literally scooped powdered chai into a glass and added hot water and charged me $6 for it. :(

On the Wonder earlier this month, we all agreed the Cabanas and drink station coffee was a big NO! The carafe from room service was better. Americano from Cove Cafe hit the spot.

Yeah, Americanos and latte's at Cove Cafe are half decent and 1000x better than the "coffee" at drink stations.
I need to have at least one good strong coffee every day, so I always go to CC at least once a day.

Joffrey coffee is horrible tasting no matter if it is from one of the drink machines or in the restaurants. For the prices Disney charges you would think they could provide decent coffee.

I could not agree more. I'm not a coffee snob at all. I buy what ever is on sale at Costco. I can't image that upgrading to Folgers would cost much. Come on Disney!

We always bring a french press and brew our own.

What do you use to heat the water if you don't mind me asking. You bring an electric kettle?
bringing hot water from the fountain station wouldn't be hot enough once you get into the room and put it in the press.
unless you're ok with drinking not-so-hot coffee.

Always been curious about this as well. Have a French press at home. Love it, but I can live with drinking from it for a week. Assuming that I can get proper drip coffee or have Via packets.

Couldn't you just use the hot water for the tea for the press?

not hot enough for French press, imo.
once you walk back to your room from the drink station the water loses heat a bit of heat, and more when in contact with the coffee (and the glass) in the press
Water needs to be piping hot, straight from the kettle. But I might be a snob on this and others might be ok with water not as hot.
