I'm wondering, if some of you are waiting for an April code before you book your hotel... How do you make dinner reservations?

I'm having a helluva time booking into dining reservations for the middle of April (I just booked into GF) unless I want to eat at 9:00 at night!! The CM makes me feel that because I'm after the 180 day mark... I have to take what I can get. I could keep calling to see if people cancelled!

I couldn't imagin waiting for a code to book and then make the dining reservatons...

Maybe someone could give me a tip

You don't need a room to book your dining ADRs. Anyone can call and book an ADR at the 180 day window. Locals and CMs eat in Disney all of the time. If you plan to go to WDW in April you need to get your dining taken care of now. It doesn't matter if you're staying onsite or offsite. I made my ADRs at the 180 window for my April 27-May 9 trip. I have friends waiting for AP rates to be released for late April early May, so I know they don't have rooms reserved yet, but they do have their ADRs in order.

We are going in May, and I have had my dining ressies since around the 170 day mark, but I still haven't booked yet. I plan to within a month (waiting to get back our Disney Visa)

Does anybody know which part of April would be LESS crowded, and easier to book a room? I'm toying with an April trip...looking for a discount, but could maybe change an existing (bounceback) ressie also.

I would say april 6 through April 16 would be best. It's after the Easter crowd has gone. April 21-25 is school vacation for most of new England, (grades K-12); so crowds may pick up around then.

I'm in CT and many school districts are off April 14-18!

Thanks for that info! I'm leaning toward the first part of April anyway...I figured that no matter what week I choose in March or April, it'll be somebody's spring break!!

We are going April 1-9th. ADR's are made, ressie is made, airfare booked. We are ready to go! I still owe about $700 on the trip. I would LOVE to have a code to apply.

Oh, BTW, in my part of the world spring break varies to either the week before or the week after Easter.

Leader of the Club, I figure that that's when most spring breaks are, to take advantage of the Easter weekend. That said, I'm noticing a lot of posters saying theirs are mid-April. Here's hoping the first week is a little calmer!!!
