Codes for room only vs. MYW packages

I wondered will they still offer codes for room only and packages since they are going to revamp tickets and such. I know they 7 for 4 and 7 for 5 deals are gone. Anyone with any idea?

Magic Your Way is a plan to make tickets more flexible, and also more of a value for longer stays. This also removes the Ultimate Park Hopper from the mix, so you no longer are forced to purchase a ticket for the length of stay.

None of these new packages/deals has any bearing on discounts for resort accomodations. When they need to fill rooms, they will offer codes in order to fill them.

Just my opinion - only time will tell.

I hope so. I believe each room only code in the past had a matching package code. I hope that continues.

My theory is that you will see a blurring between room-only and packages...for what is a package, but room-only with added tickets?

You could book a 10-night room, and only purchase a 1 day Magic Your Way Starter pass....

Why not add the ability to add travel insurance, ground transportation and even air to a room-only reservation? Previously these options were only available with a 'package'...

I think that you are going to see Disney opening themselves up to many different booking options from a 1-night stay with no tickets, to a 10-night stay with 7 day tickets, etc, etc.

You are right 2003.

Disney is currently in the process of training sales agents in a upgraded reservation system. There will be many new options come 01/02/05.

Don't bother calling the resevation center, as anything you are told is merely speculation. They will not have all the packages and pricing loaded in the system until 01/02/05. You will be able to book at that time.
