codes for december

I'm actually planning for December 2009, but when do I start watching for codes and special rates for December? I want to book by next summer, or sooner if I come up with the deposit, for Dec. 7-11 2009. Still deciding on whether MYW package with tickets and dining, or booking room only and buying tickets and paying for food OOP. Any tips?

we JUST got back spent only 4 nites @ POR but we got the free dining--it really depends on your eating style-- we really like a nice sit down dinner each nite--so the DDP works-- if you are counter eaters check the $$$ difference...also we booked POR cuz we thought we'd do the pool-- and i like it better than POPS but we never went once so the extra $$ for the mod was perhaps a mistake this time any thoughts???

Yeah, I'm uncertain on the DDP. I would love to be able to get CRT lunch and use 2 TS credits, and in doing so, as well as dining at Le Cellier and 'Ohana (tentatively) I would break even on the DDP.

We could get by in CS alone, done it before, and pay OOP for CRT (provided I secure ADR), but I need to continue with those calculations.

So, to keep this thread OT, what about codes for Dec. stays? When should I start looking for them next year?

Usually codes for December come out the middle of August, then there might be another round at the end of September

I have one more idea for you though - last year there was a Bounceback offer that showed up in April, 2008 for WDW resort guests (you have to book before check out) to book another stay ahead that included December dates (11/30/08-12/13/08). The BB was for 20%/30%/40% off the room rate, depending on if it was Value/Moderate/Deluxe.

If they have that same type of BB again next April, it might pay for one of you (or both) to make a short trip to WDW (even if just for one night) to be able to book your December stay at those kinds of discounts! Especially at a deluxe!

If you have any extra airline miles you could use to fly down on it would really be worth it

Back in March of this year I had called to see if I had any pincodes associated with my name and they said that I had a 40% during specific times of the year. I cannot remember all dates but I did get it for my upcoming trip from Dec. 7-14 at WL. So, it doesn't hurt to call and see if there is any pin associated with your name every so often. Hope this helps!

I'll keep that in mind. I think I will hold off until at least then to book...still toying with my options as far as resorts (on-site or off?) and whether I want to include the dining plan.
