Codes for Amtrak?

Good morning everyone. Does any one have a code for Amtrak? Do they even give codes? I am looking at all my options for travel from the East Coast to the Midwest at Christmas time. Thank you.

they give a pretty good discount for a AAA membership, and if you look on their web site look at the tabs for hot deals,they list all the hot deals for the next week, you might get lucky, they always have a deal to Washington,DC which I would really like to go ......were taking the Amtrak on Nov.1 up to Chicago it's 9.90 for a one way ticket! good luck.

Amtrak discounts 10% for AAA members. They also offer ½-off for children ages 2-15. Seniors over 62 get a 15% discount.

There is a current discount that allows up to 90% off the fare for the 3rd thru 6th passenger (code H545) but blackout dates include the stretch between 12/16/05-1/02/2006.

I say check out the Rail Sale page. They usually have great deals (70-90% off), but it is for limited routes and limited dates. Keep watching and you may get a good deal.

One year they had kids ride free and I took my 2 girls to WDW on the Amtrak. All 3 of us went for less than $200 (you had to pay regular price adult ticket to get the kids free.)

Thank you everyone for your help. I will check things out. But I'm sure that just like airline tickets, prices will be up because of the time frame of our travelling. It hurts the wallet to travel over the holidays. Thanks again everyone. I appreciate the help.
