Codes and Coupons for National, please!

I have tried so many combinations of coupons, contracts. rate codes etc... to find an Suv or Minivan for some friends traveling from 8/17-8/24 in Orlando. They have no preference Alamo or National - do any of you have any combos that might get the amount under $247. I never seem to find this problem when i am traveling, but then i do not go in the summer time. Thanks so much for your help, once again. Caroline

I wish I could help. I am finding the same to be true for October--really stinky rates. If things keep going like this, then Magical Express is going to be the only option for a lot of folks.

$247 for a week, if that includes all taxes, in actually not bad for a minivan.

The $247, including the taxes etc..., is for a full size SUV - the mini-vans were higher priced. Thanks - and i thought it was high priced - maybe it isn't too bad. I'll keep watching the codes. Our friends have never tried looking for codes etc...- this is their first time to WDW, so we thought we'd help them out.

For our trip 8-17 to 8-25, we have a minivan for $323. Codes I used include WWEB, 5--7125 (Emerald Club member code) and ND41 coupon code ($20 off a weekly rental). The total base price is $249 weekly plus $41 for the extra day. I think this is pretty good, but I'm hoping it may go down a bit more and that I'll be able to come up with a $30 off coupon. I am taking care of this for my cousin and the best I have found is Budget for 312.53 for 8/23-9/3. I still think that is too high, but I have also never rented a minivan before so I don't know.

i used the code cameo posted and got a intermediate from the 13th of august til the 23rd for 181 which i think is ok plus we are EA members

Thrifty has a minivan for $291 for your dates. Their SUV is pricing out at $228 - but if you have a reservation with Alamo for $247 I'd keep that since Alamo lets you choose your own car.

I'm going for a long weekend in August I stacked a 10% off Florida rental rate code which is on the National home page along with a $10 of a weekend rental coupon also on the national home page and then topped it off with an Amex Contract ID # from Mousesavers. It was the cheapest rate I could find. Keep stacking, you never know what you may stumble upon.
