Code watch for those of us blacked out by free dining!!

Haven't heard back from my TA just yet. As soon as I do, I'll let everyone know.

I have to say though that this behavior by the CM's is completely out of character. I have been around these boards since 2001 (under a different name) and I have NEVER heard of CM's giving out offer information BEFORE it was available. In fact, in the past this has been a closely guarded secret and fireable offense.

Again, I hope it works out for you and the others, but the whole thing does not make a lot of sense.

I would love Mary from mousesavers.com to weigh in.

She was not able to apply the code to my ressie today. She was told by a CM that it would have to be done on Tuesday....which is what we've all been told in the first place.

So now I guess I just wait until the 13th. I think I've found out as much information as I can at this point.

Like I said earlier and will again, I find it highly unusual that you have CM's that are willing to divulge future discount information not once but every time you call. It isn't that I am outright doubting you, but this is the first time in many years I have seen such a thing.

So far, no pin attatched to either my wife or I, so today we went ahead and did our bookings, but our TA told us she can change the bookings if something does come up. I do feel better now knowing that we have things booked though. Tuesday will be interesting to say the least.

I just called to ask about reservations about a time that FD is already available. I asked about a code that will be coming out tomorrow, she said yes but it was for FD- what I would be getting already, sorry I didn't get details. So seems hopeful for all of you waiting.

I called last week and the CM told me we didn't have a PIN attached to anyone's name. I asked about the FD code that will come into affect on the 13th. She said again, we dont have a code attached to our name. But said she would give me a price and that if we call back on the 13th and we have a pin then they can apply it. She was very very vague about it. In fact, I did have a PIN that I got in May and i told her that i had one. She said "OH, Ok. Give that PIN".

We are going to try again tomorrow and see what luck we get then. The worst the next CM can tell me is that no we don't in fact have that PIN!

I think what's adding to all of this confusion is that some CMs are spilling the beans and giving the info and codes to people and some CMs are staying mum on the subject.

Call back today. And if that doesn't work, call back again.

Just called. They asked if I had gotten an email. I told them no, but asked about the FD extension/PIN code offer. She said that I did not have it and told me more offers may come out soon. I probably sounded rather pitiful mentioning how we now need a room for 6 with dd's bff maybe coming along. Oh well..her parents will only let her go if we get FD because they won't pay for her tickets and dining and we simply can't pay for ourselves and 4 kids on this trip! Pity party here

Got FD (QS) today with the pin---have not received email or postcard--knew about it because about 2 weeks ago a CM told me I had a pin that would activate on 7/13. Good for blacked out dates in Dec. Don't know if it makes a difference, but said I was booking a package (have always just booked room only in past). At first, CM said no values were available. When I specified it was supposed to be QS with the values, she said she'd check one more thing and she found a different code for values with QS dining.

Yes, I DID have a PIN attached to my name, woo hoo !! It was NOT for Free Dining, but better !!! 40% off deluxe room rate.

We were originally scheduled at the Wilderness Lodge Dec 9-17 (missed Free Dining by 1 day), we have stayed at WL in 2008 & 2009.

Well, the WL is full & nothing available, but she had a Contemporary Main Tower Bay View Lake room available for the entire time Dec 9-17 & it was $315 cheaper than my original reservation. So, I get to stay in the MAIN TOWER AT THE CONTEMPORARY WITH A BAYLAKE VIEW !!!! Woo Hoo !!!!!

Thanks to all my Dis Buddies !! It was hard to let go of the Wilderness Lodge room, but the chance to get to stay in the Main Tower w/Bay Lake View was too hard to pass up, because I could not afford to stay there on my salary.
