I agree with this. I stayed onsite in 2002 and haven't been since. I remember getting a card a couple of years ago but threw it away; don't remember what it was. Called last week and asked if there is a code for my household and they said YEP, and said that a card was sent out to me in August. I never got the got but we have our mail forwarded to a p.o. box so maybe it didn't get forwarded.
But I agree, they are giving the code to people they think might not come back otherwise.
I also wonder if they market to zip codes that are higher income areas. Makes sense that they would target households with more disposable income to be spent on things like vacations.
Sure looks like that. I haven't been to WDW since Feb 2005 and I have made reservations since, but for one reason or another they never worked out, but I got the e-mail pin code.
