I was wondering what Disney's policy is when you book a reservation using a specific code or discount but then need to modify the reservation and it no longer falls into the discounted rate period??? Since that's a little confusing, what I am referring to is that we have reservations 2/13-17 with a code that expires on 2/13. We had planned to be there these days, however now it seems that we will have to leave on 2/14 and return 2/18. The reservation will still be for 4 nights, but the first night of our stay will no longer fall into the code period. Will they revoke our code rate and make us pay rack rate or can we keep the rate if we modify our reservations?? I haven't called Disney yet because I don't want to lose the rate we have now since it may just be worth it for me to go myself on the 13th to hold the room at that price since the 14th would be peak prices. We'd rather not do this, if possible, soany advise would be appreciated.

The only people that can truly answer this is the CM's at Disney. Call them and explain the situation and if it is possible, I am sure they will do it. The other option is go ahead and change the dates and perhaps a new code will come out before you check in and you can get that rate.

Try and go early if you can. If you don't check-in on 2/13, you will lose your code rate, your entire stay will be based on the rate you are charged on the day you arrive. The same thing happened to us in Feb. of this year, we couldn't arrive until the 15th but the 14th was the last day the code was valid. We tried everything , even offered to pay for the room even though we wouldn't be there yet, but it was a no go. ~:(~

Unforunately, SuzeQue is right, you'll need to check in on the 13th to receive your code rate. The way Disney's computers work, codes are valid from the date of check-in until you check out, which is why you are allowed the code rate even on days it's not valid, in your case the 14th - 18th. If you try to check in on the 14th, the computers won't be able to recognize the code, since it expired on the 13th. You won't have aproblem getting the 18th at the rate, they'll just modify your ressie. Now, here's an option, instead of having you fly down on the 13th, can't you just take a MUCH later flight and arrive very late on the 13th? This way you're family wouldn't have to take separate trips.
