Cocoa Beach

We have an extra day in our trip itinerary, and some members of the family really want to hit Kennedy Space Center, while others want the beach. Cocoa beach appears to be the closest to the Space Center. Any feedback on the beach, or other attractions in the area would be great. We have a 2 1/2 year old traveling with us, and the Space Center is just not an option for her, so we thought we would hit the beach while dad and gpa toured the Center. We do have two separate cars (there are 7 in our party).

We went to Cocoa Beach 3 years ago on our out-of-park day. It was the first of November, and while very warm still in Orlando (especially compared to Indiana), we found the beach a bit chilly. We stayed just a couple hours, if that. It was not very crowded, though, which was nice.

We went to Kennedy Space Center the next year, and my then 3 1/2 year old DD didn't do too bad. It wasn't probably her favorite place, but she enjoyed the bus ride (tour) and getting a drink in a huge space shuttle-shaped cup!
