We want to go to a beach sometime during our trip in November, but will it be warm enough to swim or wade around a little in the water? It will be the week of Thanksgiving, so towards the end of November.

Normally for a pool at Disney, I would say no problem, cause they're heated. But in the ocean in November... iffy. Kids can usually tolerate it, but not for me.

The Atlantic is cooler than the Gulf to begin with. In November here on the Gulf side of the state, we don't do much more than dip our toes in. But YMMV -- we're Floridians, so we're warm-blooded! ;)

In November, it might be worth a trip to the Gulf side due to temps. We've done Cocoa Beach once and weren't impressed with the area so I'd be nervous that it will be too cold and then there's nothing else to really do there...

I live n Florida and we would not swim at the beach in November. We would go to a beach resort and walk along the edge of the water.

We have been to Clearwater Beach in February (avg high temp 78 degrees) and had a great time. I think in November (avg high temp 79 degrees) you would have warmer water than we did. It was nice, just pick the warmest day of your trip. I prefer the Gulf Coast beaches anyway because of beautiful sugar sand beaches.
