Which one would you guys recommend, It will be me and 3 of my DS (10,11,12)
We are only staying for 1 night before we go to KSC. They are all running about the same price. Or if you have any other ideas I will take them as well.
Thanks :)

I have only stayed at BW in Cocoa Beach (and rented a few long-term condo's, but that doesn't help you). BW was a decent hotel...nothing special, just your average BW. Based on reputation, I would say Radisson.

We were in Cocoa Beach last week and stayed at the Hampton Inn on Atlantic Avenue. It was very clean, the beds were so comfy, and all of the rooms have microwave/refrigerators. All rooms have private balconies and ocean views. They serve an extended continental breakfast that included sausage patties, biscuits, french toast, miniature pancakes, along with fruits, cereal, pastries, etc. They also have fresh baked cookies in the lobby every night. All personnel were extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely stay there again. :goodvibes

It's an easy drive to KSC. I think it took us maybe 15 minutes to get there. We added the Up Close Tour to our admission and really enjoyed that. At the end of the tour, they give everyone space shuttle pin for a souvenir. You will have a great time whether you take this special interest tour or not but I just thought I'd mention it. :)

If you are a AAA member, you can get a very good rate at the Hampton Inn right now. It's listed in the Florida Tourbook in a large ad.

I looked at Hampton Inn and that was where I was going to book, but they have no rooms available for our dates. I will look into the up close tour, thanks for mentioning that.
Anyone one else??
Thanks :)

Well darn. I think you would have enjoyed staying there. :guilty:

In case you and your family like seafood, you might want to try Florida Seafood Bar & Grille. The desk clerk at Hampton Inn recommended it to us and the food was wonderful...in fact, we ate there two nights. It's not much to look at from the outside but the inside is very nice. Their prices were very reasonable, too. Turn at the traffic light near the Ron Jon surf shop and drive toward Cocoa Village. The restaurant is on the left just before getting on the bridge leading to CV.

Its on the beach and recently went through some post hurricane renovations, so alot about the place is newer feeling. Radisson is not on the beach.

Both the BW and the Radisson are closer to the KSC, but only by a few minutes. The Hilton, on the other hand, is closer to the shops (like Ron Jon) and a few nice restaurants that you may want to try (FL Seafood and Italian Courtyard)

another idea and not on the beach of course, is staying in Titusville.

We stayed 3 nites at the Holiday Inn there and it was clean and comfortable.

herc.

How far is the Hampton from Port Canaveral? We need a place to stay for one night before our 2006 DCL Cruise. Don't really want to spend a lot of $$ either...just a place to sleep.
Thanks!

Rand-McNally gives the mileage from the Hampton Inn to Cape Canaveral as 2.4 miles. The port where the cruise ships dock may be just a little further but not much. It's very close. If you stay at Hampton Inn, they let you park for free there during your cruise. Here's a link to their site http://hamptoninncocoabeach.com/

Thanks foxfire...
I have bookmarked this hotel as it is too soon to book for end of Oct. 2006.
One year from next Friday!! Woo-hoo! :Pinkbounc
