CoCo Key Resort - anybody stayed there yet?

Trying to find ways of saving a few bob for our trip next year. We want to go for 3 weeks if we can afford it, and if we stay offsite in a cheap place for some nights (probably 5 nights), it means we will be able to afford AKL!

CoCo Key Resort is in our budget range, and looks really attractive because DS just loves waterparks. But reviews on Tripadvisor are a real mixed bag - anybody on here stayed there at all and if so, what is it like?

Haven't stayed there, but it always seemed like a great hotel for the price. I'll just say take reviews on Trip Advisor with a pinch of salt, everybody hates everything on there

I know what you mean about Tripadvisor - hence asking for opinions on here (where you get a better quality of opinion ).

The 2012 holiday is starting to look under threat now though - might be moving jobs and house, so that will need to be done first.

Sorry can't help but my tip for trip advisor is to just read the british reviews (I especially just look for Northern ones being from Lancashire)

Tend to think they will have similar expectations to me. If they are good reviews then I go for it.

We are staying at Floridays this time which is no 1 on trip advisor. Some of the US reviews make me

I agree about just looking at UK reviews. I also discount most of the 1 or 5 star reviews! People who give 2,3, or 4 stars tend to have put a bit more thought into their review, rather than a less than helpful 'This hotel is the best/worst hotel ever' (delete as applicable).
