Anyone have any relatively current reviews of this hotel/waterpark? Would this be a hotel a 7 year old girl would like?

She probably would like it. Is she independent and confident in the water and on water slides?

I consider it to be a motel with a water park attached. I prefer Gaylord Palms and they have a nice water play area called Cypress Springs.

We did spring break two years in a row at the Coco Key in Cincinnati, OH. The kids LOVED the indoor water park, and they were about 8-11 at the time. I know nothing about the property in Orlando, but I think the indoor setup is similar across all Coco Key locations. I will note that the Cincy location is in a dicey part of town, with a strip club right across the street, so mgt does not seem to be picky about location.

I stayed at Coco Key a few years ago. We got a really good price for it...$80/night incl waterpark. That's about all it's worth. The room was OK but there is no fridge which was a big problem for us. We had medication that required a fridge.

We did have a maintenance problem(massive water leak) which they came and took care of immediately but no one came to clean up the mess after.

I think an 8yo would enjoy the waterpark but in general it's not that great. They have2 indoor slides that are for small kids and the 2 outdoor ones are for big kids/adults. The water playground water is really cold.
