Is it permissible to have the makings for a cocktail (gin & tonic) in your luggage or are you require to purchase all alcohol from their bars?

I just found some informatoin in Dave's FAQ that will answer my own question!:
Can I bring my own beer / wine / liquor onboard? Are there any restrictions?
Most cruise lines will not allow you to bring your own alcohol onboard. Disney is a rare exception to that trend. Yes, you may bring unopened items onboard, but you must carry them onboard yourself; do not pack them in your checked luggage.
When considering how much to bring, note that
1) Liquor is usually much cheaper at the ports of call. You may want to bring only a little bit on and then stock up later.
2) You may not bring any opened containers back into the United States at the conclusion of your cruise.
Since no opened containers can be brought back (meaning I would have to consume all that I took on board) I think I'll simply pay as I go. A Martini (or may two) a day would not break the budget.
