Hi everyone,

I'd love it if past brides/brides who have menus set could please share their cocktail hour food menus. I've seen some of the sample menus, but nothing is really jumping out at me, and as I know you can customize everything (for the right price ) I'd love to see what others have done/are doing.

Thanks a bunch!!

Ours was a custom menu, $38.25 per guest...my parents wanted to get a lot of cocktail hour foods since our dinner wasn't going to be served until 10pm and the cocktail hour was at 8:30. We had:

International & Domestic Cheese Display With Assorted Crackers, Breads, and Dried Fruit Garnish
Bacon Wrapped Scallops with a Thai Sweet Chilli Sugar Glaze
Wild Mushroom Puff Pastries
Chinois Chopped Chicken Salad in Wonton Cup

Our cocktail hour starts at 11:00am so we are having fruit and a Mickey waffle action station. It's not much but I don't want people getting too full before the buffet lunch. The cost is $20.50 a person.

My husband and I fell in love during Epcot's Food and Wine Festival, so for our cocktail hour we had some of our favorite food from there. This included the beef skewer with chimichurri sauce (Argentina), pork pot stickers (China), and the Cheddar Cheese Soup (Canada) in little shot glasses. We also had a basic cheese display sitting out.

Very cool. Did you just request special items and catering worked with you to make it happen?

Yes. From the very beginning I knew I wanted this, so I went in with one of the booklets from Food and Wine Festival. I had our favorites picked out already, and my wedding planner worked with me to choose a few that would work well for the cocktail hour.

That is really nice to know. We celebrated our 40th last month at the UK Lochside in Epcot and used items off the standard catered events offerings but if we ever do another celebration I think we would love picking out our favorites from Food and Wine (our favorite time to go).

Our cocktail hour starts at 10, so we are limited to what to serve, but we are planning on

Fruit with Yogurt Dip
Smoked Salmon with bagels and accompaniments
Chilled Strawberry Soup Shooters

Not sure of price yet, since we have our PS four weeks from tomorrow!!!

Thanks everyone for posting your menus so far, they have been helpful! Keep them coming!

This is almost exactly what we were thinking!! The strawberry soup from 1900 park fare is a family favorite. We were also planning to add most of the breads and jams from the brunch to the pre meal, leaving only biscuits for the meal. Who needs croissants or brioche when mickey waffles and crepes are being made?

omg I would love to do the escargot from France! Do you remember how much per head it cost to do a custom menu for your cocktail hour?

I think it was $42/person. It will probably vary though depending what you pick out. I think the beef skewer bumped it up some.

Not sure if you want mine since I am not a DFTW bride but here is what I am doing at Fulton's Crab House

Starting at Noon:

Pecan Crusted Chicken Skewers
Shrimp and Scallop mini martini ceviche
Mini Crab Cakes

Each one will have 48 pieces at $2.95 a piece for a total of $424.80 which puts it at about roughly $9 per person
