How is the cobb salad at Brown Derby? Does anyone have a picture of it? Is the restaurant in general a good choice?

Check the dining reviews. I have a picture of it in mine from our trip last week. It was okay in my opinion. I wouldn't return to BD though.

I think the taste is fine but I do not like the texture (like oatmeal).

I'm always pleased with the fish entrees at HBD so I skip the Cobb now.

I enjoyed it but I had the dressing on the side. In my opinion it really needed very little.

Where are the dining reviews?

I love Cobb Salad and I know it's technically the "invention" of the original Brown Derby restaurant, but as much as I enjoyed the flavors, I hated how fine everything was chopped. The dressing made it all soggy and mushy very quickly. I like my salads crisp. I don't think I'd order it again.

Dh and I love it and often split it while sitting at the outside dining in the middle of the afternoon while viewing the parade. Makes for a nice afternoon break!

Love it! Since it's mixed at the table you can ask them to leave out things. I didn't want the egg or tomatoe, but my friend who was sharing the salad did. They came out with little bowls of egg and tomatoes for my friend to add. We always get the dressing on the side.

I think it's great, probably one of my favorite salads. It is very big, definitely big enough for an entree and all of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The texture is very different than your normal salad because it is finely chopped and mixed---but that didn't bother me at all, the taste more than made up for it. :thumbsup2

We loved this salad!!! I asked them not to mix or dress the salad at the table. I like to go light on the dressing and to be able to dish out the parts of the salad that I like the most.

We each got an app and split this and it was a great meal!

I know that I'm in the minority, but I put the Cobb as on the worst things I"ve ever eaten at WDW or anywhere.

I just don't like it chopped to the point of it being pulverized.

It was like baby food.

I've had the cobb salad 3 times. I absolutely love it now that I get the dressing on the side. With finely chopped lettuce you don't need all that dressing soaking in.

I need to remember to have them put the egg on the side for my son. He only likes a little but DH will eat the rest happily.

Love the BD Cobb Salad. It is the salad that all other salads should live up to. I can eat the whole thing as my meal - I'm not sharing.

I love the cobb salad.

That said, I always get it with dressing on the side (it really doesn't need a lot, and I think it would get too mushy if Disney poured on as much as they typically do). Plus, I get it without the blue cheese (and sometimes without avocado).

I think the cobb salad is an excellent lunch entree if you're paying OOP, very filling and great flavors.
