Cobb Salad at Brown Derby or Docking Bay 7?

Cobb at HBD!!! The food at Docking Bay is OK. I liked the salad and the kefta, but both gave me heartburn. I would rather eat at Ronto Roasters than Docking Bay.

I love both. But dramatically different dining experiences. For a nice relaxing break, Brown Derby is the choice. The rolls with the salted butter and a cobb salad sound like perfection to me! Plus a cocktail. :) But I really enjoy the plant-based kefta with hummus at Docking Bay 7. I'm not a vegetarian/vegan but it's so good. Like I'd go out of my way for it -- but, as others have said, it is a quick service restaurant and a bit chaotic. Also a lot of the seats are stools without backs -- not the most relaxing.

2 totally different experiences, I'd been wanting to try BD for YEARS, and finally splurged one year and went, just for Cobb salad and grapefruit cake.....it was all fine, but really it was just a good salad that I can get that elsewhere for less, nothing special at all. But still VERY glad we went just to try and scratch off the bucket list. My DD got the burger, and it was fabulous! we brought half back, and finished it later. If we go back to BD again, we'll get that.
Docking Bay 7 is just Disney quick service, but I like it. Have enjoyed he tip yip there a couple times, although, I am addicted to Ronto wraps, so sometimes I just get that and eat in DB7 w the rest of the family. Just your basic DS QS w a fun SW them. Good enough.

Sadly, they took the burger off the menu. I really hope it comes back someday because it was terrific.

As stated above, they are both very different experiences.
The Cobb Salad has been a staple of ours for years. We would dine at the HBD about 10 times a year and always ordered it. Unfortunately, things changed around the time Covid struck - the salad isn't the same as it once was. It is not made the same, and they don't even follow their own recipe any longer. We have verified this on our past few visits talking with the manager(s). However, we still enjoy the place. Upscale but busy atmosphere - walls covered in caricatures of old time Hollywood celebs.
I was very pleasantly surprised with Docking Bay 7. You could never call it a "relaxing atmosphere." But the food choices are solid - the Ronto Wrap is a winner! I was not expecting that!

If you are going during the summer or any time w high heat/humidity I would have to vote HBD. I love that cobb salad, its at great meal that won't make you feel bloated and disgusting going back in the park. That being said docking bay 7 has pretty good QS food and once saved me during a summer flash rain storm.

Can't decide where to go for lunch! Will be me and DH on an adults-only trip. Haven't been to WDW since 2019. Should we have the Cobb Salad at Brown Derby or check out Docking Bay 7? I've heard the food and atmosphere is quite nice for QS at Docking Bay, but for a few more dollars, will we get a better meal and experience at Brown Derby?
Yes, as others have said, they can't really be compared. They are completely different, and will fulfill different expectations entirely.

As for me, I'd do Docking over Brown Derby, unless I was completely frazzled and wanted a long sit down in guaranteed cold air-conditioning. But, that is only because I prefer the food options at Docking, and there's only certain sit down restaurants I want to spend a longer chunk of time at. Now, if I was with my Disney disliking husband at the time, I'd book Brown Derby because it is much more like a restaurant outside the Disney bubble.

We love both. Often we will do Docking Bay 7 at noon and HBD for dinner.
Totally different experiences. If you only have 1 meal, then choose based on the menu. The Cobb salad is very good, but for a QS, Docking Bay 7 has an incredible menu. Our favorite QS at HS.
