I read in a guide book that you could get the Brown Derby's cobb salad and flourless chocolate cake at the Starring Roles Bakery (I think that's the name). Can anyone confirm if this is true? I really want to try them, but I'm not going to the Brown Derby. Thanks!

Oooh, I really hope so about the flourless chocolate cake! We want to go to the Brown Derby (we do like it there), but we're hesistant on using two dining credits for it. My husband wants to go back just for that dessert! If this is true, we can get his dessert there and enjoy dinner at another restaurant we have our eye on.

I checked allearsnet.com on the menu list and it has the chocolate flourless cake on there, but only for $1.79. The actual dessert at the restaurant is $7.99 so clearly this is a smaller version...but I'd like to know just how much smaller. Also, the Starring Rolls menu is dated 1/06 so any updated info that anyone has would be great!

Hey, I noticed something else when I looked at the SR menu on allearsnet - they have a mousse swan. I wonder if it's the same as the one at the GF Afternoon Tea.

where is starring roles bakery?

Well, thanks for the info. It's not like I've never had a cobb salad before, but maybe I can at least try the cake. ;) It seems the guide book is wrong about a lot of things, and it's the 2006 version! :confused3

"The cobb salad isn't that great anyway"

WHAT?!? The cobb salad is wonderful - the best salad I've ever had. I often wonder why more restaurants don't make it this way. All chopped up, very fine, so you can get wonderful bites of different flavors on each forkful. I can't wait to go back. It's been eons since I ate there last, and can't wait for the salad again! We'll be at the Brown Derby on Wednesday for dinner!

I've gotten the flourless chocolate cake at the Starring Roles Bakery. Yes it is small, but rich and very good.

When we went to Starring Rolls, they didn't have either. We asked about it and they said that they were out of it. There was a time when the cobb salad could be found there (and I think it's good!)

So it may be hit and miss -
