will we be warm enough just doing jeans, long sleeve tees and sweatshirts? we'll have gloves, scarves/hats etc just in case it should be really cold.

do we need a coat in case it gets chilly or do most of you just layer instead?

We are there from 12/3 to 12/11 too...

According to yahoo weather it is going to be around 70 degrees, so I am guessing you wont need it, although chance of stormshowers a couple of days. Going to take one just incase

It's been unseasonably warm here (at least IMO!), to the point where shorts, tshirts, and sandals are just fine.

It might get just a tad chilly a couple nights, so a light jacket or sweatshirt is fine, but I don't think there's any need for gloves, hats, etc.

it's showing 44-48 at night as a low for 4 of the nights, so i wasn't sure. not worried about daytime, just nighttime. thanks!! sounds like our layering will be enough. hey, we can always buy more mickey sweatshirts there, right? :rotfl:

see you there lbarton! :earsgirl: :cool1:

We're taking coats. Mid-40s in Orlando last year was extremely cold to us!

We are bringing windbreaker-type coats and sweatshirts, no gloves or hats. But we are coming from New England so we are used to colder weather.

Bring both last year during are 2 week stay we saw 80 degree weather and 32 degree weather. The night it hit 32 was also the night we did the christmas party.A jacket and gloves where needed.Usually in december there will be a few days you can wear shorts but bring a change of cloths because when the sun goes down it gets cold quick.

We're bringing it all and hoping we don't need any of it. :)
I have this pair of lucky gloves I take every year. I haven't had to wear them yet. Hoping the good luck lasts for this trip. :wizard:

I've been watching the weather.com site hour by hour forecast. Even when the low's are predicted in the 40's, that seems to only happen between 3-6am, then it begins climbing back thru the 50's & up.

I was only planning on bringing fleece, windbreaker & blazer type jackets to be worn with long-sleeves if necessary. I've never needed a heavier jacket in FL in Dec., but I've heard that sometimes it's been cold enough for them.

I plan to keep watching the Orlando local weather & if necessary, I'll wear a heavier jacket to the airport than I had planned on.

I took a coat over thanksgiving and was sorry, just needed a jacket or sweatshirt but didn't need the coat

We are leaving Friday :cool1: and are wearing a lightweight fleece jacket. I will bring gloves and a couple of sweatshirts, but shorts and tshirts too. I saw on accuweather that Sunday the high is 76....but it cools a little latter in the week. We're from MI so 50-60 is plenty warm in Dec....

We are leaving on Sunday. Having been in Feb. I know the nights can get chilly so I am packing short sleeves, 3/4 length shirts, and jeans. I also have a light jacket if I need it.

We are going this Friday to Tuesday, and on the 10 day outlook, it says the highs will range from low to mid 70's. I would take a sweatshirt or light jacket if you are going to be in the park after dark. (which is like 4:00 now, right??) If you want to take your chances, you can always purchase a souvenir sweatshirt at one of the shops if it turns chilly. I plan on wearing shorts, t-shirt, sweatshirt. My boys will probably wear those pants that zip off into shorts. I can't stand for my legs to be hot, as long as I am warm on top.

Looks like the water park is out for us unless Tuesday gets a little warmer. :cold: Have a great time!!

I guess the answer lies in what you're used to... I remember flying to Hawaii in January, leaving -6 degree Cleveland and arriving in 65 degree Honolulu. We thought it was perfectly warm -- we're in shorts and 'T' shirts and the locals were freezing (I kid you not, we even saw one guy wearing a full length parka!!!). If you're used to 80, then 60-65 will be cold and you'll want your jacket. If you're used to 45, then 60-65 is going to feel pretty darn nice...

If it's below 70 during the day, it will get cold at night. Gloves don't take up much room, I would take them. 2 years ago temps were only in the 60's during the day and I brought a flannel lined denim jacket and gloves for night. I was glad I had them at night, especially at outdoor events like the Candlelight Processional or MVMCP. If you change your mind about the gloves, they will have them for sale everywhere. Santa hat sales also go up when it's cold at night.

It's in the high 90's here(Victoria, Australia) this afternoon. :sunny: ....we're flying out next week, and we're definitley bringing coats, gloves, hats, boots etc.
It sounds pretty cool to me! :rotfl:

I was there in Jan. one day we were in t-shirts and light jackets with flip flops and the next day it was freezing and we had on coats, hats and gloves! I'm leaving a week from tomorrow and I'll be wearing my coat (it will be cold leaving here early in the a.m. :cold: ) and packing layers. Def. bring the gloves! They don't take up any room, and those little knit gloves that cost $1.49 in Target go for $8.00 in WDW! :faint:

This will be my 4th trip to WDW in Dec. On our first trip we did not need coats. The second trips we didn't bring them and wish we had them! The third trip we brought them and were very glad! I know 40 degrees doesn't sound that cold but standing outside in it is!!! This Dec we will bring them and if we need them we will be prepared! I would rather be safe then sorry!

Just a heads up that the 10 day forecast is now calling for much cooler temps on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesdays high is forecasted at 66 degrees and Wednedsay's is 59. The lows are upper 40's to low 50's.

We will be taking fleece jackets for the cooler days/nights.

I am coming up on 12/9 and I live in Naples Florida, bring a coat, and sweatshirts, it gets down in the low 40's...
