Hi - I'm wondering if Hulk and the Dragons close when it rains? Are there any other attractions that close at either park in bad weather?

(My guess is that lightning might be more important than just rain.)

Lightning is the factor that shuts down all outside attractions. Severe rain may shut down the Hulk, if the rain makes the track so slick that the train can't launch.

Rain HURTS on the coasters. The coasters go so fast that the rain really hits you hard.

Hulk almost always closes when anything other than a light drizzle starts, and even with a light drizzle after a few minutes, they'll close Hulk. The wheels get so slick that it wont be able to reach the 60mph needed to launch. But you're right, the other rides stay open as long as the rain isnt a steady downpour, unless the wind gets too strong, and lightning is seen.

Rides will operate in a downpour. Very few guests will approach the rides, though.

Actually the Hulk launch is 40mph IIRC, and Dueling Dragons has closed in severe rain, but not before I was already ON it (rain started when it was on the lift hill)...hurt like hundreds of pins and needles hitting you.

I've been on Deuling Dragons in the rain. There was no lightning in the area, so they kept it open. The dispatch operator came on the PA and said, 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Dueling Dragons is now a water ride." The crowd cheered. Yes, the water stings if you are in the front row, but it's a lot of fun. Also rode Dr. Doom in the rain just before the park closed.

I've had to put people on Doom when it was a downpour. They wanted to ride that badly.

and dark marauder, i was probalby one of those on dr doom you put on.

i always say if i could put that ride in my back pocket and take it home with me, i surely would............it is sooooooooo kewl

I know for a fact that if it starts raining then they will shut down Dr. Doom, Hulk, and Dueling Dragons. when i was there in late June it rained on us and we could only ride Dudley-Do-Right, and Jurrasic Park, but that's if it wasn't lighting.
