Will be on hold for a few days. I'm off to Cedar Point to ride some pretty cool roller coasters, all 16 if I'm lucky. Gone for 6 days and probably won't have very good internet access. If any neat stuff comes out this weekend I'd appreciate it if someone could get me some extras. I can pay you back. :thumbsup2 I should be good for it as long as it's not more then 923,497 credits. :lmao: See you all next Wednesday.

Woot! Have a great time, Stephen!
I don't mind picking up the new pins and stuff, but if there is boys only clothing, someone else needs to step up to help you with that. ;)

Ditto for all you have done for me and the VMK boards I would be honored to pick you up anything that comes out.

i'll get you the stuff and the boys stuff too

Woot Cedar Point Rocks!!! I Live An Hour Away And Have a Pass, So I Get Out There A Lot. I May Even Be Going This Saturday Again...

IF Anybody Has Not Been There And Love Thrill Rides And Coasters This Is Your Place. And It's Been Voted "Best Amusement Park" For Many Years Now.

Cedar Point is awesome. We are not too far from it. We rode the Top Thrill Dragster and that thing was amazing.

Definitely the best park for Coasters!!!!

Hey you, my coaster friend!! Just wanted to write and say have a wonderful trip!!!!! We'll be following behind you in just a few weeks! This will be our very first trip to Cedar Point, and yeah, I'm a *little* scared! LOL!

ENJOY!!!! :cheer2:

Have a great time coaster! I'll pick up extas too, so I'll PM you when you get back and see what you need.

I've been to cedar point many times myself. It is definetly the place for a coaster enthusiast! I haven't been for a few years but my favorite used to be the Mantis (I'm a chicken with heights). I heard they are wanting to buy up all the paramount parks now, which includes Kings Island which I happen to like better than Cedar Point.

Do you know if they have initiated some kind of fast pass system yet for the major rides at Cedar Point? Those lines were always beyond horrible!

I was also wondering if you have a system for gaining your credits? Is that posted somewhere and I missed it? Just wondered if its a daily routine type thing or if you just play all you can?

Have a great trip!!

Ah I miss the parks up north, I used to go to Kings Island alot and I have been to Cedar Point a few times too. Great parks! I love coasters and really have missed some of the big ones since living here in Orlando. Don't get me wrong, I love my Orlando parks too, but there is a big difference and I miss the others as well. I just HAD to leave a post about it.

Have a great trip. Enjoy.

You seem to have alot of offers to pick you up new items. But if you find you need some pm me. I usually buy extras.

On our last trip to Cedar Point, they had initiated a type of fast pass system for Top Thrill Dragster and Millenium Force (and one other but I can't remember which).

Anyway, it was a hand stamp and you were given a time to return to the ride later and go in a "short" line. We did both Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. We got in line for the stamp at 10:30 a.m. and we were given a ride time of 9:45 p.m. for Millenium Force. We got a stamp time of 10:15p.m. for Top Thrill Dragster. It was too funny. We had time to go back to our hotel room, swim, rest, eat and return to the park in the evening. Now mind you it was July during peak season. You were only allowed to get two stamps per day for it.

I don't know if they have changed or improved the system for this season but I sure hope so.

Going for CoasterMania? I was there for last year's event. :)

Have lots of fun and ride a few coasters for me!
Doesn't look like I'll be getting back there for some time. :(

They do indeed have a fast pass system and there are a few that may be getting them soon.

Ride Currently Have Fast Pass Systems:

Millenium Force
Top Thrill Dragster
Mantis
Raptor
Wicked Twister

There are booths in front of or near the ride entrance line. Some of the rides start giving fast passes at 11:00 and the others would be at 2:00. The fastpass is simply a stamp that they put on your hand. It says a shortened title of the ride and a time. The time goes by each hour until closing. They give out maybe 25-50 stamps for each hour. You can go anytime in between the time limit they gave you and you show ride-op at the line entrance. They then let you in an alternate line that takes you to either a ramp/stairs/or very close to the loading station. You may have a wait of maybe 10-30 minutes at the most but it sure beats waiting for more than an hour for some rides.

If you have not been there in a few years you might want to check up on the Cedar Point website because they have added some thrill rides within the last few years and Project 2007 is already undergo. Project 2007 will not be announced and they are calling it: "The Mystery Ride" so nobody knows will it be another thrill ride? another coaster? another record breaking coaster? NOBODY KNOWS!

Yes,it is true: Cedar Fairs that owns Cedar Point, Soak City, Geauga Lake, and many other parks around the USA are now in fact buying the Paramount Parks as well. I do not think they will be changing the park name or anything though. ;)

Also the older thrill ride the: Demon Drop was said to be sold but seems to still be there. This is a great ride and nobody wants it to leave, but when you ride make sure you have everything secure or keep things with a non-rider. (THIS APPLIES FOR ALL RIDES UNLESS YOU TAKE A CHANCE, OR LEAVE IT IN A DESIGNATED BOX PROVIDED AT MOST RIDES)

IF ANYBODY HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT CEDAR POINT CONTACT ME AND I MAY BE MAKING A GUIDE TO CEDAR POINT. IFYOU NEED RIDE INFO, OR ADDITIONAL INFO ON THE BEST THINGS TO DO THEN JUST CONTACT ME. IF IT IS YOUR FIRST TIME THERE AND YOU WANT TO RELAX AND ENJOY TAKE A FEW DAYS AND GO THERE, ALSO VISIT SOAK CITY IF YOU GET HOT ;)

Yes, Cedar Points fast pass system i would say has improved some. The stamps now go by hours like: 1-2, 2-3, 3-4. So then you have time if you have another stamp. Yes it is 2 fastpasses a day one for each hand. They do run out fast though.

P.S. It is possible toscrub the stamp off after riding and you may have time to get another. Never done it but if you dont get caught! lol

I am glad to hear they are making a bit of an effort at shortening their guests line time. My personal opinion though, is that what they are doing is barely scratching the surface of the problem. I hope when people go for special events for coaster fans they do something extra to help that line time. My experience was always 2-3 hours on the major and newer coasters. I think thats ridiculous to ask paying guests to wait in line that long. Again, its only my two cents. I do realize the draw for the coasters to Cedar Point though, as I said, they really can't be beat for that.

I'll throw in another nice tip for Sandusky area and that is if you can swing the $$ staying at the Great Wolf Lodge is pretty cool, they have their own private water park. Looking up info through the Erie County Visitors Bureau is a good idea too. They can send a book with some discounts in it ahead of time. (My mom used to work for them, lol) If you're tired of the park, there is lots of little local things that are fun also, like a drive over toward Port Clinton or a ferry ride to the local islands. There's a cute Merry Go Round Museum in downtown Sandusky and Tofts Dairy is a great place for Ice Cream too! If you head towards Huron, you might stumble on the spot I got married too, right on the waters edge! Now how cute is that? :rotfl:
Edit: And to be even more sappy, if you want to see the photo of that day click here I'm not admitting how many years ago that was. I will say though, that I look EXACTLY the same! :lmao:

Looks like I have internet access in the Lobby here so I should be able to get stuff as long as it doesn't requre playing any games. :) Thanks for all the offers and the Cedar Point pointers too. :thumbsup2

To answer some of the questions that were asked. Yes, I am here for Coastermania which is Friday so I'll have Thursday to get familiar with the park. I'm staying at Breakers Express so I get early entry into the park.

As far as my credit quest, I plead guilty to stopping at 240k playing Fireworks. Playing for an hour or so I can get 2-5K a night, more if I play longer on weekends. I should hit a million sometime in June.

Thanks again everyone,

Have fun, enjoy and relax!!!
Also the new ride: Sky Hawk is not that great. It is a big swing and is not that great like i just said. MaXair the new swing ride from last year is pretty cool, because it turns and swings @_@. You can really feel those negative G-Forces!
